I came from Oregon Portland and some Vietnamese friends recommended Heavenly Pho to me. I am really glad I came. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dishes I tried was perfectly seasoned and very satisfying. You can tell they really care about quality of their food. The service was also great, staffs were very friendly and attentive, manager came by and check on you. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

If you’re looking for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, look no further than Heavenly Pho.

From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home.

The star of the show, of course, is the pho. I ordered the traditional Pho Bo (beef pho), and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and aromatic, simmered to perfection with a blend of spices that danced on my palate. Each slurp of noodles was perfectly chewy, complementing the tender slices of beef that were cooked just right.

What truly sets Heavenly Pho apart is the freshness of the ingredients. The herbs, lime, and bean sprouts served alongside the dish were crisp and vibrant, allowing for a customized experience that enhances the already delicious pho.The menu also offers a variety of other Vietnamese dishes, but the pho remains the highlight.

The service was prompt and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. For anyone looking to indulge in a hearty bowl of pho, this place is a must-visit. It’s a delightful escape into the flavors of Vietnam, and I can’t wait to return to try more of their selection.

Tony was my waiter. We were seated immediately and our order was taken right away. The food came piping hot!!! The round eye steak on the side Pho was delicious. There were so many noodles and the broth was so good. You also got plenty of beef. This was the small and it was filling. I also got the fresh rolls they were a little bit dry but still good. My husband got General Tso Chicken and that was really good. It was enough for two people. The vegetables in the dish were cooked to perfection and the sauce was mouth watering.

It’s a bit lacking in staff, but the ones working were doing their best.

I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls. If you like things basic and dry with no flavor but filling, this is a decent choice.

For my main dish, I ordered the chicken, shrimp, and egg roll vermicelli, which was basic on flavor and minimal on veggies. The shrimp was cold, and the egg roll seemed to have been deep-fried a few times.

Furthermore, order some crab ragu; to no surprise, it didn’t have any crab in it.

I come here because it’s close and very good compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The staff is always very friendly and the food comes out quickly! Josh is a great waiter and didn’t overwhelm me with constant questions, but was very attentive to when I needed anything such as a refill. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice soup!

On Friday evening, my boyfriend suggested Vietnamese for dinner. While he wanted Pho, I saw some photos of tasty vermicelli bowls that looked like they would hit the spot. After searching online, Heavenly Pho popped up in our search so we made our way slowly to the restaurant during rush hour traffic. The restaurant was decorated beautiful inside and we were greeted immediately upon entry and seated by our waiter.

While our waiter took our drink orders, we browsed the menu and I decided to dine on the Vermicelli Chicken bowl that included an eggroll and shrimp, while my boyfriend selected the Pho special and an order of Crispy Calamari. Our waiter came out often to check on us and even warmed my noodles at my request for my Vermicelli bowl.

While I understand we are dealing with inflation, I wasn’t pleased to count 5 pieces of chicken and see 2 pieces of shrimp heaped on a bowl of noodles and bean sprouts. After viewing other restaurants and seeing what was in placed in front of me, I started to doubt our choice to dine here. I for one love eating at home and my boyfriend loves eating out, but if you are going to raise prices to around $14 a bowl, 1/3 cup of meat should at least be the standard to serve to your guest. I also wasn’t pleased with the poorly cleaned shrimp with the dirt line that glowed on the plate in front of me. I felt a bit slighted as he dined on his Pho so I ended up tasting his selection, which was seasoned to perfection. He also ordered a Banh Mi to go and we paid our tab.

For nearly $64 with a tip, I do believe I could have found a meal that I felt was worth the trip and cost elsewhere. When I eat out, I like to find restaurants that have ingredients that I normally don’t cook with so that I feel like it was worth the trip, labor and cost. My meal, I feel I definitely could have prepared off of a YouTube tutorial and enjoyed more at home. I felt like they tried to disguise the protein under the vegetables to make you think you were getting more than you were (sigh).

I will continue looking around San Antonio for other selections.

Been coming here for many years and still one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in San Antonio. This time came on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t too crowded, so was immediately seated. Waitress immediately came over to take the drink and appetizers orders. For the appetizers, ordered the Crispy Calamari, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Crispy Egg Rolls. They came out within 10 minutes and was very fresh & flavorful.

For the meals, we ordered Pho, Vermicelli Bowl, Rice Plate, and Fried Rice. I’ve had these before and still can’t say which is my favorite. They use some of the same ingredients, so it’s really what you’re in the mood for. The meat is always so tender and juicy in all the dishes. Food came out within 15 minutes, but they wait staff seemed short-handed. Service was great, but she was the only waitress working the 5 occupied tables.

As always, food was consistently good, plated well, and generous portions. Ingredients are always fresh and go well together. This remains one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants after all these years.

Have to say that the food out at Heavenly Pho was super delicious. My last 2 visits I had the Pork Vermicelli Bowl, Pork Banh Mi Sandwich, and Vietnamese Egg rolls. The pork is some of the best I’ve tasted. Very tastefully marinated and perfectly cooked. So glad it didn’t have that charbroil taste which I’m not a fan of. The egg rolls were very tasty and highly recommended for an appetizer. Can’t wait to try the Pho on my next visit. From what I’ve tasted so far, I’m highly recommended this restaurant.

Having Pho in the US is always something to look up to when traveling across the globe. Most Vietnamese (Pho) restaurants in the US have a common taste. Fresh roll is also something that goes well before the noodle. Vietnamese coffee is also a must. It’s just not served in a dropping way of a local coffee would do. The inside is too dark from the curtains though.

Always hits the spot! I never leave without getting the crispy egg rolls perfectly golden and packed with flavor. The meatball pho is my go-to: rich broth, tender noodles, and those meatballs are on point every time. Consistently delicious and always satisfying. Heavenly Pho lives up to the name!
