Roadside stand for Caribbean curry, oxtail & jerk chicken in down-home digs with outdoor seats.

We ordered the trio with curry goat, jerk chicken, and oxtail. It came with plantain, rice and peas, and cabbage. Hands down, best rice and peas I’ve ever had. Plantain was super good too! The meats were decent, a bit salt heavy, and not as tender as I would’ve liked, but still good. Service was relatively quick.
Would I return: Yes. Definitely interested in trying some other menu options and getting more rice and peas, and plantain.

I love, LOVE oxtail and everyone kept saying how good this place was. I normally eat a Jamerican on old national or Island Vibes in Lithia Springs.
I wasn’t really that impressed.
Oxtail 4/10
Cabbage 6/10 (Had a funny taste)
Plantain 10/10
Wouldn’t return.

Very disappointed, doesn’t even taste like real Jamaican food. First, the cashier must be deaf, he also has poor customer service. I ordered the “regular” jerk chicken, apparently they don’t serve regular on Saturday’s but my food was in a “regular box”. Secondly, the food was trash. Rice & peas was swimming in gravy, tough little plantain and crunchy cabbage, just all around poor quality of food. “Jerk chicken” wasn’t even jerk, it tasted & looked like baked stew chicken . A waste of money, coming from someone who was born & raised in JA, I would not recommend.

This my place for Jamaican food! I use to be a curry chicken lady for years. Every since I been eating here, I love me some brown stew chicken!! They know I don’t play about extra sauce, cabbage not over cooked and my plantain better be on point.
I’m always greeted with a smile and even though they don’t like taking pictures, I always get my favorites to pose for me.
I always leave with a hot and heavy plate!

This was my first time having Jamaican food at Scotch Bonnet. The customer service was hmmmmm mediocre at best. They did have some good music playing during the wait which was nice. The beef patty (photo attached) had a brand stamp on it. I have been trying to find a great beef patty around Atlanta. This one was not bad but not my favorite. The Jerk Chicken and Plantains were my favorite part of the meal. I don’t love Plantains but I eat them occasionally and I would eat these again. The Chicken was well made and had a distinct flavor, in my opinion, I am thinking there was just some love in there!! Most Jamaican restaurants that I have patronized in Atlanta either ask if you want extra jerk sauce or provide it. They didn’t and ultimately, that was my only draw back. I was satisfied with the meal. I had it for lunch and dinner so $16 was not bad for lunch/dinner. They accept debit cards.

When I pass by I saw a line of people so I figured it was pretty good. When my good friend took me to eat I was pleasantly surprised. The plantains was the best I’ve had and oh my God the cabbage was off the chain. The smoke meat was perfect however the rice was a little undercooked. I would definitely recommend this place. The best side of the road jerk chicken joint to date

I went for my first time and I got the oxtail dinner which was very delicious and tender, but while I was waiting one of the cooks, let me taste a rib and all I can say is, I wish I would’ve ordered that instead it was soooooo delicious. definitely will be going back.

I used to eat here quite frequently and have always loved the food. The food was always fresh and well seasoned. However, after recently learning this establishment received a 40 from the Dept of Public Health, I can no longer patronize this establishment. It was noted that there was an infestation of both roaches and rodents in your establishment. Rodent feces was found in the same kitchen where you prepare food is disgusting and unacceptable. I hope you are shut down.

Scotch Bonnet is one of my absolute favorites! I’ve been going here for years, and the food is always amazing — fresh, flavorful, and consistent every single time. You can really taste the care and quality in every dish. The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots around!

This place Jason been a favorite of mine for years. Normally I always get the bbq jerk chicken plate that comes with rice and peas and cabbage. They didn’t have it so I got regular jerk. The chicken was so moist and tender. Perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spice. Arrived around 12:30 pm and the line was long!! Once you place your order it doesn’t take long to get your food though. This is one of the top Jamaican spots in Atlanta.
