My fiancé and I enjoyed an amazing night at here for our 1st Anniversary. It has been a favourite of ours, and the staff were beyond amazing and lovely, and the food was incredible as usual. I cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to make our special night even more so. Especially after the booking, I had asked if maybe they could write a note saying happy anniversary for the table as a surprise, not expecting they would be able to.
But I never expected or would have assumed they’d have gotten an actual card for us, or the refusal of additional tip for it!!! It blew me away the kindness.
So thank you so much you guys for making it extra special.
We had a delicious artichoke soup, and charcuterie with truffle saucisson, Savoie ham and pickles. Grilled sea bream with sun-dried tomato butter, olive salsa vierge, sautéed tarragon new potatoes. And, steak frites with garlic butter. And a chocolate praline tart with a berry coulis and vanilla ice cream.
We’d definitely recommend and it is one of our favourites!

The Crafty Eater
Very delicious! We came here for lunch and had a lovely time. The weight staff was phenomenal and we didn’t feel rushed at all, though we did end up rushing because we had to get back to our cruise ship. It was lovely and the food was delicious and the drinks were very good. If you live in Chester, I highly encourage you to visit this shop and if you are visiting from out of town and need a delicious and filling lunch, then this is the place to go.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night for our 10th Wedding anniversary. All staff were friendly and professional, especially Alex who looked after us so well.
Souffle was fabulous and the Belly Pork & Bourguignon was amazing. We had cheese board and wine and couldn’t fault anything.
The complimentary glass of fizz was much appreciated.

Very good food for a chain restaurant- pleasantly surprised. Long menu and seasonal dishes. Lamb shank was a lot better than I thought it would be – definitely recommended; same too about the three seasonal dishes. Staff professional but rushed off their feet.

The server quickly brought me the glass of bubbly promised when I signed up on the web site. He helped me to choose the wine on the menu. I was informed of the special and my questions were answered honestly. The onion soup was very tasty. The porc belly was crispy and juicy inside and served with beautiful scalloped potatoes. The chocolate pudding was just ordinary and I regretted ordering that instead of the pie. The service was on time for every course.

They have been so kind that they offered us drinks on my birthday.
We enjoy their duck every time. They also have a very tasty onion soup.

Attended in the afternoon. Had the set lunch and the food was good. However, service could be better. Waitress not very helpful. Informed her I had a discount card, ordered my food, to be told at conclusion it wasn’t covered. Didn’t make a fuss but staff need to communicate better as this could cause some unnecessary issues. I would t return as in my opinion staff need to improve.
