My first time here but my son who comes here often loves it…and hands down, the sashimi here is one of the best I’ve had. The sushi itself was good, but I’ve had better (Sushi Mentai in Ipoh) and the “sweet sauce” was a little runnier than I am used to. If you are willing to wait in line for reasonably priced sushi then this is one of the better japanese restaurants in KL.

ONE OF THE BEST SUSHI PLACE I’VE BEEN TO!
I went to KL for holiday while visiting my little sister, and we found this viral sushi place. The queue was quite long, I waited for ~1.5 hours. Not the best place to queue, as you only get the number when it’s like ~5 queue left, so you can’t really go anywhere else while you wait. The seating area itself is a bit small i would say. You get to pick & choose the menu before you come in through their web so it will make the ordering process a bit faster.
Once you order outside and you get to the seat, you won’t wait too long until the menu started to come one by one. The waiting time is really fast surprisingly despite the crowded restaurant. SO POINT PLUS for that, at least you won’t be starving too long ahaha.
The price point is really cheap considering the quality & taste :9 Not only it’s fair priced, the sushi are well plated. The portions are not too small either. Fromm all the dishes I’ve ordered, no failed dishes, I enjoyed all of them :))) will definitely be coming back!!!!

Had high expectations from this place but the waiting time doesn’t justify the food. We mostly ordered the recommended ones and while it was good, we didn’t expect the recommended ones to be very sauce-centric. If you rely on thick sauces to make your sushi taste good or you need those sauces to eat sushi, are you truly living? Might as well go to Maki Maki at this point. But the Chawanmushi is good though, definitely one of the better ones we’ve had.

The rice to topping ratio is perfect. You dont get too full off each sushi. Their tamago mentai sushi is awesome! Service is great and the place is very lively. Bit tight but all in all its a great place for affordable sushi

I never expect food was awesome with such Cheap n Reasonable price among all Japanese Branding Restaurant competitors. No wonder it’s been always super long queue. Should expand more outlets in whole Malaysia. Outlet extreme small limited space. But overall food was incredibly AWESOME very good food and most importantly Cheappppp!!

We went on a Friday after 1pm, had to wait for 15-20minutes as there were 3 groups in line before us, there was a pre-order system which was convenient. It was thoughtful of them to place a cooler, cold drinks and chairs for the people queueing. Very satisfied with this set meal which was around rm30, each salmon hana maki was made with 2 pieces of thick salmon. I’ll go back to try more of their interesting sushi.

Yesterday evening I wanted to eat sushi with my daughter. We love the sushi only from this place cos it’s tasty n yummy. The sushi is all tightly wrapped up with a thin piece of seaweed. I have eaten sushi from various restaurants but it’s not as tasty n not tightly wrapped up like these from here. On the other hand I hate long queues to get into the restaurant. So I pre- ordered by phone n paid before I go to self pickup my order. This way I avoid the long queue . When I reached there yesterday , as expected there was a very long queue that stretched up to 3 shop lots before the restaurant. Oh my goodness! What a relief that I just need to show them my receipt n order number on my phone n then I can collect my order. It was all ready waiting for me! I went home n shared the sushi with my daughter. This time we were rather disappointed cos on the whole, the sushi was not as tightly rolled up or wrapped up like before. Could they have changed some staff or the chefs in the kitchen? I hope not cos we are regular patrons of this restaurant. Our bill came to RM73.25 cos they charge us for the plastic containers n plastic bag too. We don’t mind if they are consistent with the quality of their sushi . Please wrap up your sushi more tightly.

I opted for the sashimi set, and it was a decision I certainly didn’t regret. Unlike the disappointingly thin slices often found elsewhere, Shin Zushi serves incredibly generous, thick cuts of pristine fish. Each piece was a delightful surprise, showcasing a palpable freshness that made every bite a luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth experience. The sheer quality and size of the sashimi alone set this restaurant apart and justified the visit, providing immense value for the price.
Next, I savored the torched sushi, which was a revelation in itself. Often, this style of sushi can feel mass-produced, but at Shin Zushi, each piece was meticulously crafted. The flame-seared finish added a smoky, savory dimension to the fish, enhancing its natural flavors without overpowering them. It tasted premium, a perfect harmony of texture and taste. The meal was thoughtfully completed with a comforting bowl of miso soup and a refreshing plate of sweet watermelon slices, providing a perfect and light palate cleanser after an indulgent main course.

Good quality and taste is truly good. Pls expect long queue here regardless whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Parking can be quite hard to find in SS2 as well. Price point is cheaper than premium sushi places.
