I’d love to frequent more often!
Good job The Lakehouse! You make North Santee the place to hang out!
Loved this place.
The atmosphere was very negative. Mostly influenced by the woman up front. She lacks tact, professionalism, and only seems to really care about CERTAIN not ALL locals. It’s a shame because our bartender was funny and really nice. It was 100% overshadowed but the negativity from certain “regulars” and the lady up front who slammed her hand on the bar at one point out of frustration. Always tragic to see a team be let down by 1 person. After reading other reviews- doesn’t seem like this will change nor do they dare lol
The Lake House is not simply a restaurant—it is a feeling. From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in a warmth that feels like a soft Southern embrace, the kind that settles your shoulders and tells you you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. The beauty of the space is breathtaking, unlike anything I’ve encountered before, with every detail on the walls quietly telling its own story.
The service moves beyond hospitality and into something almost artful. Eve was truly unmatched—graceful, attentive, and effortlessly present, elevating the entire evening without ever stealing the moment. Each dish felt like a journey in itself, from the comforting perfection of hush puppies to pork chops that were nothing short of memorable. Every bite carried intention, care, and soul.
And then dessert—an ending so fitting it felt like a final note held just long enough to leave you in awe. I rarely write reviews unless asked, but this experience demanded to be honored in words. To leave without writing one would have felt like leaving a love letter unfinished.
The Lake House lingers with you long after you’ve gone. It is beauty, warmth, and excellence woven together—an experience that feels as rare as it is unforgettable
We were seated right away and there was a sign at the greeters station indicating reservations were recommended. Our waitress was nice but not friendly.
We had hush puppy appetizers which came out immediately and were good. Dinner was a burger and fries, fried pork chops with baked potato and collard greens, steak and fish with baked potato and mac and cheese.
Overall the food was edible but not worth the price. The skin of the baked potato tasked like the smell of the front store area.
