Food was excellent and service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect. We had a large party and everyone enjoyed their food. Not one bad meal at all from the rockerfella oysters, huge crabcake sandwich, seafood pasta, catfish bites, burgers, hellfire shrimp and shrimp tacos. Will definitely be back. It was nice for the manager to come check on us twice. Superior service. There only thing is it would be good if the server informs that for large parties a 20% tip is already included. It will help older people when paying their checks as they may not notice. Nonetheless, fantastic service, food and atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I went on a date here over the weekend and we both agree that Latitude Seafood is now one of our favorite restaurants in Midlothian…really in central Virginia!!

They gave us some hush puppies to start, and they were fantastic! Not too soft or crunchy, and not soaked in grease like I normally experience at other restaurants. They were moist, had a good flavor, and were served with a sweet butter on top.

We went during their Happy Hour and, from their discounted menu, purchased the Salmon dip, Prickly Pear Margarita, and a draft beer (I believe it was an Oktoberfest Pilsner). Between the two of us, the dip was more than enough. The margarita reminded me of one of my favorite margaritas served at the Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival. Also, the Tajin rim not only added visual intrigue, but it paired well with the sweetness of the margarita!

Between the appetizer and drinks, that cost us about $21. In this economy, I thought the price was well worth what we received.

For our entrees, I had the Hellfire Shrimp Tacos. They had a kick, but they weren’t spicy just to be spicy. The flavors were balanced and felt very intentional. There was plenty of shrimp and toppings in each taco (comes with two), but not so much that I couldn’t eat it like a normal taco. Some places over fill your plate to compensate for the quality, but they served just the right amount of food for this dish. I couldn’t eat it all, but that’s because I’m a light eater.

I chose the Old Bay fries as my side and I was star struck! These are some of the best fries I’ve ever had! They’re quite big and you are served a heavy helping. The outside is perfectly crunchy, while the inside is soft and delectable. The only thing I will note is that some of the fries were way over seasoned, but that’s being a bit nitpicky.

My boyfriend ate the Fish and Chips. They also offered tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and malt vinegar to pair with the fish. The fries were the same cut and quality as mine except they were normally salted. They used Haddock which he thought was an excellent choice for the dish. It was flaky, juicy, and perfectly fried. The beer batter they used was delicious. The size of the fish was significant, so expect to bring home a to go box if you buy this.

Between the two entrees, our total was about $32, which I believe is a fair price for the quality and serving size. Between everything, we spent about $53.

The environment was lovely. I enjoyed the industrial feel intertwined with the oceanic decor. I’m 5’11” and plus sized, and I had plenty of legroom and space to sit comfortably. The space is very open and divided into a normal dining room, a more casual bar, and a covered outdoor eating area.

I didn’t get to explore the outdoor space, but at a glance, it was nicely decorated and would be perfect for aesthetic photos. The bar was cozy and had, I believe, three TVs playing different sports. The regular dining area had several tables that are capable of hosting large parties (they actually had a 20 person party and a 40 person party there while we were eating!). However, the room echoes, which may be something to consider if you are bringing someone who has any sort of sensory sensitivity. That’s the only reason I rated atmosphere at four stars.

The service was wonderful, though it took a bit longer because of those two very large parties. Actually one of the parties was supposed to be 20 people, but they changed it to 40 people last minute. Despite those challenges, our server was very attentive, personable, and our food/drinks arrived in good condition.

Above all of that though, my favorite element was a sign placed at our table introducing us to our waitress. It listed her name, hobbies, passions, and what her favorite menu item is. I love that!!

Overall, I would highly recommend Latitude Seafood for your next lunch or dinner outing!

Also, the 20% automatic gratuity only applies for tables of 6 guests or more which is perfectly reasonable to me. Sadly, too many people run waitresses to death and don’t tip!!

This location has better food & service than the Stony Point one for sure. Always a little loud inside but the happy hour drinks & appetizers can’t be beat. This is my go-to anytime I am on that side of town.

Dined on Saturday night with my boyfriend and his parents and we had a great experience. The service was accommodating as soon as we walked in! We asked to be seated so my boyfriend and his dad could watch the game and were given a few options. Our server Sean was great; he checked on us often, kept our water flowing, and was very personable. From what I could tell all of the servers seemed to be working efficiently as there were a few larger groups dining in.

Our food was amazing as expected. It had been a while since my last visit so I knew what I wanted. The salmon dip is my favorite appetizer hands down but I always have to ask for extra chips. Everything came out fresh and was cooked perfectly. I love the fried shrimp entree as it’s so filling and you can’t go wrong with the sidewinder fries and Brussels. My boyfriend’s crab cake sandwich was the only thing I’d never tried and it was huge. Sean told us it was over 5 oz of crab meat and it didn’t disappoint. We all left full with leftovers so expect great food and great value !

So first let me start off with the good things I have to say. Food was amazing. I got the grilled salmon, collard greens and potatoes and it was so good. All of the staff was very friendly except for this one girl. I should have gotten her name but she did not say hello or even looked up when I walked in and was standing there waiting. She kept scrolling through whatever she had in her hand. I waited and waited and finally said hello to her and she said hello back but nothing else. I continue to wait just wondering if she is going to help me or not. This gentleman comes over and finally greets me and I tell him, wow, its so nice to actually be greeted and she finally looked up from her little device and started laughing so I laughed back and cut her off and rolled my eyes at her cuz excuse me? I am not the one but she was lucky it was Valentines day and I decided to keep my mouth shut because how dare you. What is wrong with this generation? The gentleman that took me to my reservation agreed that she was very rude for what she did. Even if she was not the person to seat me, all she had to say was hello, someone will be with you shortly. She has no proper etiquette and honestly shouldn’t even be employeed if you can’t do something simple as “hello” but got the time to finally look up and laugh when I call you out. Do better. That was very pathetic of you to laugh in a customers face about your laziness and tacfullness on the job. Kuddos to the gentleman that was very friendly through out the night towards me that made the dinner enjoyable and I wish I had gotten his name but thank you for making the night better after that rude employee of yours.

This was my second time eating at Latitude and it was even better than the last! Kenzie was my server and was great with recommendations, (I got the hellfire shrimp 10/10). She also shared with me the details of where her jewelry was from when I asked which I thought was very sweet 🙂

Grabbed lunch here with a buddy. The place is decorated for Christmas and has quite a charm to it. They have a very large bar area in the back. Good amount of seating. Staff was very friendly and super attentive. Menu had a few unique items on it. Food came pretty quickly. It was very tasty. Both of us mentioned how tasty we thought our food was. This is a very well run establishment. Good food and good times.

Sundays are the best days to come in here and visit this amazing establishment. Make sure to try their happy hour menu because they have so many good items on here. I recommend the salt and pepper calamari, the lettuce wraps, and the oysters Rockefeller. The drinks here are exceptional and they have 32 beers on draft here.
