We visit everytime we’re in town! Reasonably priced and excellent value. Free chips and salsa is a really nice welcoming touch. Highly recommend the Enchiladas with red sauce and Special Burrito! Food comes out super fast! Great service!

First time at this spot, and went with friends for trivia. Restaurant is decorated quirky with cute decorations throughout. Numerous TVs for watching sports and spacious seating. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was inviting and fun.
Staff was attentive and nice with orders arriving timely.
Food was great and I was happy they had corona NA. Everything tasted great, well seasoned, and nicely prepared.
This was a great experience and we’re going to return again soon!

Very cozy traditional Mexican style restaurant. Well established business that has been here about 20 years. Food was very fresh and delicious. Several vegetarian options also. Happy hour specials were nice. Price very reasonable. Can’t wait to come back.

I visited this restaurant when I went to Sarasota. It is a very cute restaurant. Had a dessert which I never had before-it was like pillow bread you dip in honey and cinnamon, sorry forgot the name.

The salsa and guac were both out of this world good. The food was all very good, as was the soda they’ve got it tuned in just right! We went in about 40 minutes before closing and was still treated as though I was welcome to stay all night. We have been looking for Mexican restaurant in Sarasota like this for four years. We will be back many times.

Loved the atmosphere, CAN’T SAY ENOUGH about the food, but the service left a little to be desired.. our waitress was the corner on her phone most of the night… My wife even said something about it and she told my wife and I that she was having problems with her boyfriend. Thought that was kind of unprofessional but regardless, we were there to have a good time and enjoy some good food.. so we let it go… About 20 minutes later, after we had already drank our drinks and ate our appetizers, when our food had not then delivered, we called her another waitress over to find her. It took about 10 minutes for that waitress to find OUT waitress, and when she finally showed up at our table she was very apologetic and brought our food. By that time it was cold. So of course we sent it back to be at least microwaved and warmed up. It was another seven or so minutes before we got our food back from being microwave by this time the food was rubber. The chef came out and offered to remake our food… Of course we accepted.. we even bought a few more drinks and waited for our food. By the time it came out it was delicious! All in all it took about 45 minutes to get appetizers and drinks and then another hour to get our food to our satisfaction… It wasn’t the chefs fault it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. The waitress was just going through some personal stuff that should not have been brought to work. But this is life. I’m sure it was a one-off… We will go again possibly even get it delivered…

Great place for dinner! Service was wonderful. I ordered arroz con pollo w/ queso. The queso overpowered the meal and was even on the salad. So it was too much. But everything else was great.

My party of 3 had a great meal at El Toro Bravo on a Wednesday evening. Very good food and good service. I had combo dinner: 2 chicken enchiladas with red sauce plus a beef taco.
Reasonably priced, good value for the $ spent.

Wow, this place has some really good Mexican food, and very large portions of it. I had a Fajita burrito and the meat inside, chicken and carne asada, were really large yummy chunks mixed with vegetables. This restaurant definitely does not skimp on the goods (meat) like so many other places do.
I felt like I really got my money’s worth with our meals.
Okay, now for the small negatives that we, my wife and I (BTW my wife loved her food too) experienced here. 1, the wait time for our meals vs the amount of people in the restaurant was WAY too long! We waited almost 30-35 minutes to get our food after we ordered it, and there only 3 other small parties there made of 3 people or less in the restaurant at the time. What was the hold up??? There was at least two servers there…? The other thing is that our waitress, although very friendly, only checked up on us once, and then left us for dead after that. I had to flag her down just to get more chips….
And while on the subject of chips, we literally counted 10 whole chips, or less per chip basket. Why are we skimping on the chips when all the other food portions are big?
Anyway, that’s about my only gripes. We really did enjoy our food. I’m thinking we must have come on an off day. We will probably give this place another chance in the future.
I would normally rate this kind of flavor a 5 star, but being left for dead at a table is NO FUN, so, 4 stars instead.
