Great atmosphere inside, looks clean and on our visit had super friendly service. Long line to wait … but I guess that means people like it. Coffee was excellent, vanilla flan is fantastic, loaf bread is great… only thing that was just ok was plain mallorca. Would definitely return to try other items.

Passed by and stopped for lunch. Hospitality is good but varies who you get. Pastry’s are great, food is good not great for some items. I feel like they need to do a tasting of their food and fix some of there sandwiches flavors, I feel like get back to basics or fix who is slacking lol. I would return for pastry but really hope they revamp sandwich.

My go too breakfast/lunch spot in New Britain. I love the sandwiches,OMG the bread is nice and soft so fresh. The cakes and the pastries are everything, melts in your mouth good. The juices and coffee lattes are also good. The inside is nice and clean and bright, nicely decorated with alot of nice art.
The parking sucks.

Stopped in to grab a loaf of sweet bread and a pastry to bring home. I got an Apple turnover and a guava pastry. The Apple turnover was delicious and the bread was so soft and still warm. Service here was great. Prices are fair too. Clean establishment.

Went here for some take out to take back home. Food was authentic and very well. Got a el Jabarito and tripleta which were the first thing I ate and took my hunger away. Best part they have plenty workers helping and suggesting what’s best from bread chicken and pastries . I loved my tripleta and look forward for another visit .

We recently moved to the area and didn’t realize how popular this bakery was until one of my clients recommended it. That’s when we discovered it’s just down the street, within walking distance from our home.

We tried the Ham, Egg & Cheese Mallorca sandwich and the Cuban-inspired sandwich—both were delicious! For pastries, we had the bread pudding, quesito, and the powdered sugar guava pastry, and they were all amazing and definitely worth trying.

Their passionfruit drink was so refreshing with a natural taste—no weird artificial flavor at all ❤️

I recently stopped by Borinquen Bakery, which is something of a local staple here in New Britain.

Location and Atmosphere: The bakery is conveniently located on Arch Street and is easy to find. Inside, it has a very old-school, no-frills vibe, and the aroma of fresh bread is always wonderful. However, it’s worth noting that the interior feels a bit dated and could use a renovation. Additionally, finding parking in this specific area can occasionally be a challenge.

Service and Food: Their selection of Puerto Rican pastries and sandwiches is impressive; the Quesitos and fresh bread are usually excellent. That said, the service can be hit or miss. At times, the staff is very welcoming, while at others, you might find yourself waiting quite a while in an empty shop or dealing with a somewhat indifferent attitude.

Summary: This is a solid spot for a quick takeout snack if you value authentic flavors, but if you’re looking for a cozy sit-down experience or top-tier customer service, you might want to look elsewhere.

First and last time going there. When you get in is clean latin music, but you have to wait about 7 mins for someone to call you to get the order. The front staff only knows the basic: take orders and charge. If you got questions you need to wait until she ask behind the doors. People that works behind the doors look at you weird. Food is good, but I got it better in Panaderìa Sinaí in Meriden. 2 sandwiches, 3 pastry’s normal size, and 2 juices for more than $30. The wait time was about half an hour for two sandwiches of fried egg, ham, cheese and salad. Then you can’t pre-order a cake of the display because it’s almost double the price. Maybe that’s why was only a person waiting when I got in there and when I got out it was 2 couples waiting for an order placed 15 mins after mines. If you are planning to go, plan to leave $15 per person and wait 40 – 45mins.

great place to get Puerto Rican food. On sundays there is no parking, there is a big line inside, but that gives you a clue as to the quality and taste of the food. Everyone is town knows the gem so be patient and get your food and enjoy!.

Right in the heart of New Britain, this cute bakery has everything you need to brighten your day! They offer delicious treats, beautiful cakes, and refreshing drinks — all at affordable prices. The service is excellent, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. It’s a family-run business, and there’s always someone available who speaks English, so you don’t need to speak Spanish to place your order. Highly recommend stopping by!
