This is my favorite place to stop if I’m in Bloomer or passing through. The food at this cafe is off the charts. The grilled chicken sandwich is *chefs kiss*. The onion rings are also fried to perfection. I haven’t tried the pie yet but I have heard it is fantastic and is in all of the Kwik trips. Service is always fast. Typical diner/cafe vibes. Would def recommend.

Stopped by for lunch and dessert. Quick service. Ample portions. We had the hot beef sandwich and the fried chicken dinner. Both were plentiful and delicious. We tried their pies for dessert. Lots of yummy fruit fillings.

All I can say is Pie, Pie, Pie! We stopped in for a late lunch after a long drive from Duluth, MN. This is a wonderful family restaurant with great food, great service, simple atmosphere and off the wall excellent PIE! Our server was very courteous and helpful. She was quick, checked on us just the right amount of time and did something special for us with a piece of pie. (more on that later)
There is a lot of memorabilia on the walls around the restaurant about the resturant and local lore, which makes the time when waiting for food to arrive go by quickly. I started with a chicken dumpling soup which was hot and robust. We both had burgers, mine was a Western burger with the sauce on the side, with chips and a pickle. My partner had the California burger with fries. Both burgers were cooked perfectly, and were a great combination of ingredients, and plenty of food on our plates.
Now for the star of our lunch. PIE!
We decided to split a Caramel Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream and walnuts. OMG, what an unexpected surprise. First our server split the slice onto 2 separate plates. Each had a large scoop of ice cream, a bunch of walnuts and just the right amount of caramel sauce. Normally when we shared a desert at other locations in the past, we just got the desert on one dish with 2 forks. The fact that our server made each plate look like it was custom made for us made the dining experience that much enjoyable. They have a large selection of pies both for “by the slice” and whole pies to take home.
We highly recommend the Main Street Cafe in Bloomer, WI. Excellent food, outstanding service and the price is very reasonable. Make sure you check out this cafe, you will not be disappointed. Oh yea, leave room for pie!

First time there. Not real busy. Ordered a Reuben w/ff, 1000 on the side. Friend ordered daily special, Salisbury steak, mashed spuds, gravy, grn beans & a roll, we both ordered coffee. Another of first bites someplace new and nothing but solid gristle with tough meat.Meat so tough, I had to pull it out of the sandwich by my teeth and drop it on my plate, yuck. Ff were lukewarm at best. My friend’s Salisbury steak looked like a kids portioning in elementary school. Steak was a out 4″x3″, spuds were equivalent to about a quarter cup, green beans weren’t rinsed from can, so you could actually smell the aluminum can they came in along with the same water. Those were served in a petite bowl, no seasoning.
Server never offered to refill water, and I asked for fries that were hot. My friend also said her food wasn’t hot either. Server offered reheating in microwave, but first she stated “the bottom of the plate is hot!” while walking away with plate. Within moments returned with my friend’s plate. She then brought my ff. Those were right out of the fryer. I couldn’t each much of the sandwich between more gristle and tough meat. I asked for a to go, but left food there. My friend had already placed an order of the same plate she had when we first got there; the bill came to over $35!! Who wants pie if I couldn’t even enjoy my lunch?? Quality of food was subpar at best and the cook clearly wasnt up to the task. Will never return there.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast with my parents. The food was out fast and was very good. The pricing is hard to beat, cheapest I’ve seen around the area in a long time. They also offered a breakfast buffet that looked amazing, however, we weren’t quite that hungry to give it a try. There was only one waitress, which I think they could habe used two at the time we were there, so it was a little slower than other times we’ve stopped. But, it won’t deter us from stopping in again the next time we’re in Bloomer.

Great local Bloomer cafe with simple but great food. This is also a place to grab a piece of pie with a lot of choices. They also sell pies in the Chippewa valley area. I had a big breakfast burrito, coffee and pie. Very reasonable prices and great food. Highly recommend!

We stopped for lunch! I loved their pies that are sold in our town that’s a distance from Bloomer! I get one a week even though they cost twice as much here! Guess I bought my last pie after our visit to Main Street!! I went to pay the bill & noticed my “special” was more than advertised on the wall board! When I told the young waitress at the counter – she snotty said I can’t change it! All I was doing was bringing the difference to her attention that it needs to be corrected!! After the attitude I said she needs to adjust her attitude & rudeness!! She went to get her supervisor?? not sure- & S/V came over without finding out what happened said first “Don’t talk to my waitress like that!!” ?? First find out what she did before hollering at me the customer!? Tried to explain the price was wrong & I guess she just wanted to be right??!! Than told me no charges! Leave the cafe!! And are not allowed again!! I never once raised my voice & all I intended was to inform them the price they posted was wrong!! Don’t worry I won’t stop there again & pies are done too! I have run & owned 4 different service businesses (retired now). I have trained many workers on handling issues over the years with great people!! These people need a course in customer service & possibly a training course! The owner better hope they don’t treat all the customers like this! Small town business can be destroyed by one bad review & I feel for them & hope they realize how to treat customers!!? I have never been treated like this ever before! Lost this customer & everyone I can tell around Bloomer area!!
Felt bad for our waitress, she was not involved!

I love Main Street Cafe. I grew up going here with my family. I have to say they have the best pies I have ever had! They also have really good pizza at an amazing price. Whether you’re doing breakfast lunch or dinner, this is the place to go do not miss this place.

I called in a to-go order. They missed the fried mushrooms that I ordered. I called in to talk to the manager. He told me that I was “wasting everybody’s time.” Worst manager I have ever had the misfortune to talk to. He should be fired.
If the management is poor, then the food safety is likely poor.
