Oh my God, everything at Bovella’s is absolutely delicious! The French toast stands out as a must-try thick, made from Challah bread, and perfectly topped with mixed berries, it’s one of the best breakfast items around. All the other breakfast selections, like the Avocado Benedict, Nutella crepes, and Eggs Benedict, are exceptional as well; every bite tastes heavenly. The pastries are fresh, and the variety covers everything from crumb cake to rugelach to creamy tiramisu and strawberry shortcake, which are crowd favorites. After our event, we all went to Bovella’s, and the experience was just perfect! The food was outstanding, with generous portions and beautifully presented plates. The atmosphere is cozy, vibrant, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, despite sometimes being busy. Whether you’re sitting down for breakfast or picking up desserts, you’re in for a treat. It’s no wonder Bovella’s is always bustling, and everyone you know in town has a favorite treat from here.

My first visit to this place was a delightful experience. Each dessert offered a unique and delectable flavor. The lattes were my favorites, as they were not overly sweet (I opted not to mix the whipped cream).
Initially, we were not greeted with warmth and friendliness by the first person we encountered. However, the kind and friendly gentleman who approached us later was a refreshing change. He patiently explained the flavors of the desserts and provided helpful recommendations.
The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, with a pleasant atmosphere that made us feel comfortable. However, it was a bit disappointing that the place was empty after 6 pm, as it would have been great to have some food options.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place and consider it worth a visit.

I came to Bovella’s for my wedding cake and they DID NOT disappoint!!! It came out much better than I expected. They offered to supply the flowers, but I had some that I wanted to place instead, and honestly by the time I got around to dropping them off, they looked flat and misshapen :/ I didn’t know how they were going to look, but they took the time to make sure each flower was beautiful!! Thank you so so much for making my cake beautiful and delicious!!

Wow! And then another WOW! We ate here for the first time and enjoyed such a wonderful brunch. The Cinnamon Bun Challah French Toast is to die for & my friend’s avocado toast with eggs over easy was really good also. We are very pleased with our experience & highly recommend you try it!

I would have rated 5 Stars if they had been able to serve anything other than regular coffee. We were there 1 hour before closing, but they only regular coffee was available, which was a bummer. They have a huge variety of Pastries and Cookies to choose from, and whatever we tried tasted pretty good. Macaroons were not that great, but they comped it and offered another pastry of our choosing, so +1 for Service. Cute decor with warm ambiance.

I came Saturday morning to enjoy a quick breakfast. It was packed when I got there. fine. Immediately, I can tell that they were short staffed. There was no one to seat me. I was told to seat myself. It was so hard to get anyone to attend to me, even after waiting in line for almost half an hour. The red velvet pancakes had no flavor and was very skimpy for almost $16. the French toast was burnt . the açai smoothie was watery. at least the pastries were fresh and soft. I’m not that kind of person, but with the price they’re charging they should uphold some kind of standards. This was very disappointing.

Bovella’s is an excellent bakery, but they also have a nice sized eating area that seats at least 30-40 people. They offer breakfast and lunch entrees, which is definitely worth trying!! I’ve been there at least 4x already, and I’m ready to go back!!

My experience at Bovella’s Bakery Cafe has gone from disappointing to downright unacceptable. The first warning sign was the cookies. They were so dry it honestly felt like they’d been sitting out for days. For a bakery, that’s inexcusable.
But what happened on my next visit was even worse. When I walked in, the place was completely empty, yet not a single employee bothered to acknowledge me. I stood at the counter waiting, and waiting… nothing. I finally had to call out just to get someone to take my order.
Then came the coffee fiasco. After making my latte, the employee simply left the cup sitting open for several minutes, didn’t say a word, and just disappeared. I had to ask another employee what was going on. Strangely, she already knew he was in the kitchen looking for a lid. She eventually found the lid under the cash counter, which honestly made the whole situation even more concerning.
This all happened around 4:30 pm on December 9th, 2025.
This was one of the most unprofessional and careless customer service experiences I’ve had anywhere. I will never visit this cafe again, and I honestly think future customers should be careful. The staff seriously needs proper training, because the service I received was unacceptable at every step.

This only confirmed my initial impression. It was never about a “garnish”, but instead being misled, dismissed, AND NOW privately mocked for sharing an honest customer experience. Transparency, communication, and accountability go a long way. Unfortunately, Marco, the owner of Bovellas Mountainside, delivered none of that.

Came here on a recommendation and ordered an Oreo cheesecake and açaí smoothie with no bananas. I was first charged for a bowl by mistake, but that was corrected, so no harm there.
The $8 Acai BERRY FRUIT CUP* showed up half-blended, hidden with a pile of whole berries, none of which were listed. When I asked, the manager/owner Marco said that’s how it’s supposed to be and I should “just ask for no garnish next time.” Right, because guessing unlisted ingredients is totally normal.
So, is this a smoothie with “garnish,” or just a lazy attempt at one, served with a side of even lazier management? You tell me.
