A Refreshing First Sip into Summer – Thanks to Carol at Starbucks!
Yesterday, I stopped by Starbucks with one goal in mind: to finally try one of their new summer drinks. As someone who usually sticks to the classics, this was my first time exploring their seasonal menu — and I had no idea what to expect.
That’s when Carol stepped in.
She was not only patient with my indecision, but also super helpful in suggesting two great drink options. Her friendly attitude instantly made me feel comfortable. I finally picked one , and she even offered to customize it to make it taste even better. Spoiler alert: it was amazing!
But Carol didn’t stop there. She noticed I had the Starbucks app but wasn’t fully using the rewards program. She took a moment to show me how it works, helped me earn my points, and made sure I got credit for the drink I purchased. It was such a thoughtful gesture — something you don’t see often these days.
The whole team at that location was equally welcoming and cheerful. Their warmth turned what could’ve been just another quick coffee run into a genuinely memorable experience.
Thanks to Carol and her team, my evening turned out fabulous — all because of a drink and some seriously good service. Can’t wait to go back!

I came into this location to order a double shot expresso over ice like I normally do, I was greeted by the gentleman with the blonde streaks which I found to be normal entering starbucks. What I found not to be normal was the woman that took my order was a bit rude. She didnt greet me like im usually greeted when I order, she just looked at me i said hello to her and she did not say hello back. And after I paid she just walked away without saying anything. Just wanted to say something because I know that starbucks employees arent trained to treat customers like that. The 2 gentleman there were trained correctly. The woman obviously wasnt. I added the video to show how often I go to starbucks to get these double shot expresso’s too

I am BLOWN AWAY by the kindness and quality of service of this location. I did not get the manager’s name but I ordered over $200 of beverages for my team and they had it all ready for me and helped me bring it to my car. Such phenomenal service and kindness and brought the guests inside as well as myself a smile. THANK YOU!

This is what defeat looks like… used to spend a firtune at Starbucks each month, and one visit to this location reminded us why we don’t anymore. Came in to the store, no hello, stood at the counter for good 6, 7 minutes, barristas walk by, NOBODY acknowledges us, zero eye contact.. as we’re standing there i realize they took off all the prices they used to display for different sized drinks, probably nobody wants to stand there and contemplate why they are paying $9.00 for venti. Lol. As we’re on the verge of walking out, cause now there are other people behind us getting annoyed, young lady decides to come over. Again, no hello even, no smile. I ask her a question about the prices, she can’t answer me.. now i see why Starbucks is failing. This is what happens when you get too big, too fast and ignore your customers.. Miserable experience. Glad to say i won’t be back any time soon.

I remember when I first went to Starbucks I used to be greeted by a chorus of “welcome” or “Good morning ing/afternoon” from the Starbucks baristas.
This day, I walked into the East Brunswick store and stood by the cash register for 5 whole minutes and not one of the 3 baristas looked at me, or acknowledged my presence in any way. I tried calling to someone, and no one looked up. (That’s bad!)
The Starbucks barista is supposed to be the friendly face of Starbucks, skilled in crafting the drinks, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The drink was good, yet the service was poor. No one even said, “sorry for the wait”. Given the high cost of coffee at Starbucks, 1 out of 3 is actually bad.
I will not be returning to Starbucks, East Brunswick in the afternoon, unless I hear that the afternoon crew has been trained.
You are a great brand… we deserve better service East Brunswick.

I was not a fan of Starbucks, I thought it was overpriced and my daughter got me a medicine ball when I was not feeling well and not only was it delicious but it totally helped me get better. Needless to say I was getting 2 daily until I got better. Then my daughter introduced me to Caramel Ribbon Crunch and I was hooked. So far the staff amazing. While I was in the building one time this lady was being so difficult to this poor kid foe no reason, she literally asked the kid for a drink and thw kid go it correct even repeated the order prior to charging her and she gave her attitude and said the order was wrong and needed them to redo the order correctly but this whole time the kid was very polite & calm not once did she let this woman get to her. That was impressive to watch although I wanted to defend the girl and tell this miserable woman that she got what she asked for. To this day I wish I would’ve spoken up for the kid working there. I hope she’s noticed by the higher ups how much of a great worker she is to this Starbucks.

Waited in the drive thru line for a long time. I received my matcha and it was very unblended and tasted disgusting. I went inside to ask the barista with blonde hair if she can re blend my drink so it wasn’t so clumpy. She gave me a really bad attitude and whispered comments under her breath while remaking my drink, then proceeded to make comments to her co workers and all the girls were just really rude about fixing a mistake they made. I even thanked her for remaking it and nothing but an attitude on her face while handing it to me. I will never return to this location ever, i drink matcha all the time and have never been handed my drink looking like this. They have no cares and need a whole new staff working there.

Zero soft seating surfaces in this location. Filthy floor. Disinterested baristas who can’t even bother to put the drinks in open view/with labels facing out after whispering our name. A terrible experience.

I went to the drive thru this morning, the worker had a. Very bad attitude…uttered not a word…not even a thank you..the drive their was not busy so that should have been a reason for the snub. On top of that my drink was wrong…this is the 2nd time in a row that it was as wrong..time to go to another place..You should at get what you paid for , without attitude on the side!

This is the second time this week I ordered a hot matcha from this Starbucks that wasn’t properly blended. They’re either using too much matcha or not blending long enough.
Either way, it’s nothing but drinking disgusting grit powder the entire time. For the price of these drinks, this is unacceptable. I won’t be back at this location. I’ve never experienced such low quality output at a Starbucks before
