My girlfriend and I decided to try this location out. The one in silverdale was horrible the one time we went. It ended with the cook telling us he was having an off day. Lol at that point, I wouldn’t be having anyone cook. We were surprised with this location. The menu’s looked cleaner, could tell its been revamped, our service was good, and the food was pretty good too. The only thing I would change is the biscuits and gravy. It wasn’t even biscuits. They were croissants. Over all, we were happy with the food and the flavors. We will definitely give this location another go.

4/20/24 munchie stop in! Definitely hit the spot! Only came in for the pies which deserve a 5 star, and only didn’t because I haven’t actually ate at the diner food yet. But hands down, if you want variety, by the slice or a whole pie and never to be disappointed, Shari’s got you covered, you won’t want to leave with just one slice or one pie! Lol

1/27/24 approx 7pm, not busy- Table was sticky. Floors were sticky. Lamp shade had this nasty stain on it. These observations are pretty consistent over the past 4 visits. Unfortunately, the restaurant has smelt pretty bad over the past few visits also. Not sure what is going on. Used to love coming here, was hoping things would improve but they haven’t. Waited over an hour for our food. However quality of food was excellent .

I did have more stars from before this last visit. Disappointed more than I can describe in words. I understand that the world is short everywhere, especially in the food industry. We don’t mind waiting to order, and we understand the food wait is even longer. That’s not what even upsets me. The fact we waited so long and the food was so disappointing beyond what I can say. I took pictures and wanted to show the portions for which we paid a lot of money. Not only that, but when we found hair in my husband’s hashbrowns, the waitress was so rude about it. It couldn’t be any of ours because we all have blonde or light brown hair, not black. She attempted to take the food back, but my husband said he’d just finish it because why wait another hour for his food to come. No, way we blame the waitress and she was swamped. This sharis has gone down in all aspects.

The food came out cold and disgusting and this is the second time this has happened at this Shari’s,the biscuits were hard the gravy was bland except for the paprika on top of it my eggs were touching all the gravy and everything is just really gross, if you notice the picture of the nachos there’s a big ball of what looks like guacamole but really it’s something completely different me and my girlfriend didn’t know what it was but that’s all we ate of our food there and then we left I do not recommend this restaurant try a different Shari’s and if you have the same result there than just skip Shari’s all together. Our waitress was too absorbed in her own gossip to care about us.

Paid about $22 for this, asked for medium rare, it came out more medium well, I guess it was listed as 8oz but past that, the seasoning must have been just salt, I ended up putting pepper on it myself. Thought the side of biscuits came as two, but apparently it’s just one, but it wasnt half bad. The potatoe was loaded I asked for which was an extra $2 I believe, and, well, im glad they didn’t mess up my potatoe, would have been hard to but yea haha. Waitress was super nice, but food took so long that my hot tea I got when I sat there, along with the cute little refill cup was almost cold when the food finally arrived. Didn’t get offered a refill, I assume she might have been busy doing something else, but I dont believe it was too busy there. The people I went with had decent food cooked right, fries are tasty. Id probably only go here for maybe am expensive breakfast, or just some pie and or a shake.

Update: Actually tried to give them one more chance through DD. I ordered the steak tips with a loaded baked potato. I got mashed potatoes and food was cold. Husband got biscuits and gravy. Undercooked doughy biscuits and cold gravy.

I know what I won’t order again: the St. Louis combo or in all likelihood, anything with steak. The ribs were mediocre and the biscuit was tasteless. My wife ordered the steak and eggs, but the steak was so tough we had difficulty cutting it with the steak knife provided. It also lacked flavor and seemed like an old piece of meat. When we told the waitress, she apologized for it. We really could have used toothpicks after the meal but none were available. The service was good, but next time we’ll have a burger.

I stopped in to get one of Shari’s famous lemon meringue pies to serve my guests at home. When I cut into it the meringue was sticky and gummy, and the crust was soggy. Definitely NOT fresh! I returned it for a full refund. I took notice of other pies in the case, specifically a key lime pie and a razzle dazzle triple berry pie. Pictures attached. They were definitely not fresh either. I will not be back.
Since writing the above review, the manager reached out to me. He apologized for my negative experience and assured me that this is not the normal standard, and that quality control measures have been reviewed with renewed emphasis. He also gave me $30 in Shari’s coupons to help restore my faith in their products.
Further, I would like to add that this was for me an isolated incident. A few weeks ago I visited the restaurant for lunch with a friend. We both got their BLT, which was amazing! We were raving about how good it was when the waitress came to our table and offered us free slices of pie (every Wednesday at Shari’s is “free pie Wednesday”). In remembering this recent pleasant Shari’s experience, I realize how much I value having this iconic restaurant in our neighborhood, amidst the many new fast food establishments springing up in the new “Bremerton Station”. So I will keep supporting Shari’s with my business. I would hate for them to go away.

This restaurant is one of the only places that’s open past nine in the area which is awesome for late night munchies! I got the Prime Rib Dip with fries and a pecan pie milk shake that contained an actual slice of pie! My friend got the Northwest Steak Salad and a strawberry pie milkshake. The waiter suggested the flavor and anticipated that we’d need waters as well. Overall great service! ✨
