As someone who loves Indian food, I had no idea there was an Indian restaurant in the Keswick area, so we decided to give it a try. My friend is still fairly new to Indian cuisine, so we played it safe with butter chicken. I’m not the biggest butter chicken person in general, so while I can’t rave about it personally, I’m sure anyone who loves butter chicken would really enjoy theirs.
The highlight for us was actually a noodle dish the server recommended — kind of a Chinese-Indian fusion, and it was spot on. What I appreciated most was how attentive our server was. He took the time to walk through the menu and explain things thoroughly, which made the experience feel very welcoming.
We also tried a watermelon cocktail — I think it was either vodka- or tequila-based — and it tasted like fresh, straight watermelon juice rather than a sweet or sugary drink. The menu mentioned salt, which I believe is intended to be like a salted rim style beverage, but neither of us are fans of salted rims, so we asked for it without. I feel like this drink would be very hit-or-miss depending on personal taste. For us, it leaned more toward a miss, but I can definitely see watermelon lovers appreciating it.
The service was excellent — I want to emphasize that again. The server even brought us a free dessert, and even though I have no idea what it was, it was sweet and genuinely delicious.
The atmosphere was clean, pleasant, and relaxing. I’d recommend giving this place a try, especially if you’re exploring Indian food or want something new in the area.

Absolutely delicious… unexpectedly every bite was an explosion of flavor, nothing overdone felt almost like homecoming if I was Indian lol. Serving portions were huge. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. For a Jamaican who loves and is used to excellence in cooking Rangoli deserved my 5 star rating. Met the chef also 25 years of experience at top restaurants in India showed up and showed off in the taste n flavors of India!

Had the most wonderful dining experience at Rangoli Restaurant last night as we celebrated my husband’s birthday. We had pre-booked our reservation, and everything was seamless from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was warm, the food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of rich flavor and beautifully presented.

One of Edmonton’s finest restaurants. My experience at Rangoli was outstanding! The environment was superb, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the canvas artwork was impressive. Ria’s customer service was exceptional, and her warm smile and attentive care made us feel comfortable. The food was delicious, with a presentation that exceeded expectations. Each dish was mouth-watering, and the chef behind the bar is to be commended. I also appreciate the manager’s visit to our table to ensure our satisfaction. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed and thankful to the entire restaurant staff.

We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday today and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The service was flawless friendly, prompt, and thoughtful throughout the entire evening. The food was amazing! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. We were impressed, and the birthday dessert was such a sweet surprise. It truly made the celebration extra special. Thank you to the entire team for making it so memorable. Rangoli Restaurant & Bar is definitely a place that stands out for its ambience. The atmosphere is amazing — modern, spacious, and perfect for a night out with friends or family. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, and the flavors really do justice to traditional recipes. They also have a crafted cocktail menu, which adds a nice touch if you’re looking for something beyond the usual.
That said, there were a couple of disappointments during my visit. To my surprise, all 8–10 of their beer taps were out of order. When I asked, one of the servers mentioned that the taps are actually “only for showcase,” which was shocking to hear from a place that markets itself as a bar. If you call yourself a bar, having draft beer available should be the minimum standard. On top of that, I found the menu to be overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants in the capital city offering similar quality.
Overall, Rangoli has a beautiful ambience and great food, but I’d strongly recommend they rethink their bar setup and pricing if they want to live up to the name and experience they are aiming for.

It’s a really good spot for a special occasion. The food was good, not amazing, but all the staff were super nice and the service was spot on, very impressive. Especially the music they were playing, I really enjoyed my evening because of the old hindi songs there were playing.
