While we were across the street enjoying some cold beers and football, we decided to order a few items from Frank’s to try: the garlic knots, buffalo wings, and a meat lovers pizza. Service was prompt, and we received our food nice and hot.
The garlic knots, however, had a rubbery texture, almost like they’d been microwaved. The buffalo wings were a great size and packed with flavor. The pizza was decent—nothing outstanding. It was a little undercooked for our liking, but it did come loaded with toppings.
Overall, a solid place to enjoy some good food.

I ordered pizza from Frank’s Place while spending night in Salem VA.
Asked the hotel clerk if she could recommend some local pizza options other than chains and she said hands down Franks!
So I called and ordered a large Pepperoni and went to pick it up!
They deliver for free but I needed to stretch my legs
The guy at counter was friendly
It was easy to locate and parking simple.
Restaurant inside is very lovely, wish we ate in!! Next time! Yes there will be a next time when in the area! Highly recommend!

We came to Salem for a HS wrestling dual at Roanoke College for the day. We went to dinner with 14 starving wrestlers, coaches and parents and the restaurant was amazing! They were super accommodating and the food was delish! This pizza place is right in the heart of the cutest little college town. I would highly recommend!!

Honestly, the smells coming from this place outside was phenomenal! We were greeted and seated right away. The service here was pretty decent. However the pizza just wasn’t it! The pie lacked flavor and the crust just wasn’t crispy. Fries were bland and lacked seasoning. The house ranch was pretty tasty though. All in all, it’s an ok little spot for a quick bite.

Basic pizza shop atmosphere with lots of booths. A single bathroom for males and females. They were clean. We were seated quickly and our order was taken within a few minutes. Our order arrived after about 10 minutes. I had a house salad. It was very fresh and $6.49 for a large salad. I enjoyed it. We got 2 XL pizzas for 27.99. the menu listed the price as 2 for 25.99 but we noticed we were charged 27.99. the salad price was also not the same. The pizza is pretty good. A little bland. Crust is firm enough to hold your slice and eat it. Readable prices.

Not only are they locally owned and family operated, but their pizzas, as described on the website, are 100% accurate. They describe it as flavorful with fresh ingredients! They nailed the crust. The calzone was amazing, which, as we all know, can be hit and miss. The calis are large, stuffed full and cheesy!! This place is clean, has friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. There’s parking in the back by the library. You have GOT to come here if you need a hit of great pizza and beer!

Always a great experience and great pizza! This Franks out of all of them has the most consistent, best flavor and crust. Its almost always a little busy but they run through a crowd like pros and you can count on your order being accurate and tasty every time!
