It was our first time there it was a Monday and they’re open. Our server was excellent. We had two appetizers the Aji tuna nachos and my husband had the adult grilled cheese. I had chicken arugula pasta. Both of our meals were excellent. We were going to have peanut butter cake for dessert, but we were too full. I had to take over half of my food home. What a great restaurant wonderful food will definitely go back.

We come to Uptown Grill 3–4 times a year and are never disappointed. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always solid. The truffle fries are a must-get every single time, absolute favorite. It’s one of those places you can rely on for a good meal and an enjoyable experience.

My husband treated me here for my 39th birthday on Oct 13. Our server was Tracy Helmer. She’s our favorite server & in my opinion the best server at Uptown Grill. She surprised me with my birthday dessert. She’s a very upbeat, bubbly lady who always makes me smile . Uptown Grill is an upscale restaurant in downtown Lasalle IL. It has a great atmosphere. There’s specials every day featuring the best prime rib on Fridays & Saturdays, burgers, sandwiches, salads, French onion soup daily & soup of the day daily, appetizers, steaks, pork chops, chicken, pasta, dessert, wine, spirits, & libations. Everything about Uptown Grill was amazing from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with such a welcoming, comfortable energy that immediately set the tone for the evening. It felt inviting without being rushed or overwhelming. Sheila was our server, and her attentiveness was truly exceptional. Even while balancing quite a few tables, she never missed a beat, checked in at just the right moments, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire meal. What a wonderful surprise! En route to Madison Wisconsin my wife and I found ourselves outside of LaSalle Illinois around lunchtime. The Uptown Glille completely floored me with the quality and amount of food served. The cocktail I got was VERY good and the fish tacos were amazing with mango and strawberry. Fantastic place to stop for a bite.

Tremendous. The kitchen really knows how to put a steak together. I love the layout as well, the whole restaurant speaks class from the time you hit the door. Lorenzo my waiter stayed on top of everything, glass never ran dry, never needed for a thing. Top shelf experience.

My husband and I drove a little over a hour to have dinner with his parents. They drove about an hour as well. We were excited to have a relaxing dinner with delicious food to catch up. While the food was overall very good, we sadly didn’t have a great experience with the service. Within the first 20 minutes, our server came over no less than 8 times asking if we were ready for appetizers. Then once we ordered the appetizers, she came back within 4 minutes to get our entree orders. Everybody had just dug into the appetizers and we hadn’t even looked at the main menu yet. At one point, we said we would be ready the next time she came by and instead of coming back, she just began taking orders on the spot. I wasn’t ready at all and just had to pick the first thing I saw which was frustrating. I worked in the industry and understand the need to turn tables, but this was a bit excessive – we weren’t really able to have a conversation. I’m all for attentive service but at some point, it sadly becomes a bit overbearing. In addition, when our food arrived, our plates were quite hot. She handed them directly to us without warning and I almost dropped mine because of the heat. The only last thing was there was a nail sticking out of the window next to my seat. I reached down to grab some birthday presents off the floor and sadly ripped my sweater on the exposed nail. The truffle fries, crab rangoon, steak, fish, potatoes and dessert were delicious but unfortunately the service left something to be desired.

I’ve been here twice while passing through my route across the country. It’s in a small little part of town, very quaint and quiet. The restaurant serves beautiful and delicious dishes, the reason being I had to make sure I took time and visited again.
I’ve had the seared ahi tuna, the ahi tuna appetizer, smoke salmon toast, white fish, and my partner had tried their steak. The food was absolutely excellent, the restaurant was gorgeous and people were really nice.

It was absolutely delicious. My waitress was more than friendly very pleasant atmosphere. I also ordered the crème brûlée again. It was phenomenally made just the right crunch. Everything was wonderful.
As I was getting ready to leave, it was pouring down rain. The proprietor seen me walk to the door and followed me with an umbrella to walk me to my car. The atmosphere was absolutely phenomenal. The weight staff was pleasant. I was absolutely blown away with how amazing the service was. Thank you so much for the great experience.

Nice place in downtown Peru. very classy decor. Staff was great and friendly. Had the peppercorn sirloin. It was cooked to Perfection and very flavorful. Nice beer selection.
