At Via Maestra Enoteca, we believe in creating a space where people can relax, enjoy exceptional wine, and feel at home. Inspired by the cozy wine bars of Italy and Europe, our wine bar is a community hub where friends and family gather to share good times. Located just a few doors down from our sister restaurant, Via Maestra 42, we invite you to bring in takeout from any local eatery and enjoy it with our curated selection of wines.

While the wine itself was good, it was served in thick, cheap glasses—already not what you’d expect from a wine bar. But that was minor compared to what followed.
Enoteca allows guests to order food from the neighboring restaurant, Via Maestra 42. The menu and prices are the same as the restaurant, which led us to reasonably assume the same quality of service and presentation. We were very wrong.
When our food arrived, it was brought out in plastic take-out containers. Not plated. Not transferred. Just handed to us in disposable boxes and left on the table. For a birthday dinner. At a wine bar. After spending over $160.
This completely ruined the experience. Sitting at a table for a planned celebration and eating out of take-out boxes felt cheap, awkward, and frankly insulting at this price point. If Enoteca doesn’t have a kitchen, that’s fine – but customers must be told in advance how food will be served. At the very least, staff should plate the food before serving it, rather than expecting guests to do it themselves.
Had we known this beforehand, we would have gone directly to Via Maestra 42 for a proper restaurant experience. Instead, we felt misled and cheated.
If I wanted takeout, I would have ordered takeout. I came for an experience, and that experience was completely undermined by poor communication and lack of basic service standards.
I would not recommend Enoteca to anyone, and unfortunately, this experience has also turned me off from returning to Via De Maestra. A huge disappointment.
