I do have a complaint. They advertise Happy Hour appetizers and drinks. It’s on their website and on a huge banner hanging outside their establishment. However, they won’t give you the happy hour specials unless you sit at the bar. This is not listed anywhere, it’s just what your server has to tell you. So for someone with balance issues (ms) and back problems, who would not be able to sit comfortably on a bar stool or at a high top, cannot participate in the happy hour specials. Pretty sure this borders on illegal due to the ADA.
Thank you
Daniel
During this process, the employee knocked four appetizer plates to the floor—one shattered. The remaining three plates were picked up and placed directly on our table. It then took three attempts to bring enough silverware for the group, and one set arrived wrapped in a visibly dirty napkin.
Once seated, we ordered beverages—mostly water, with a few lemonades. The water arrived without ice, one lemonade was forgotten entirely, and we had to ask again for it.
We ordered two calamari appetizers and a flatbread. The calamari was tough and chewy. When our entrées arrived (after a fairly long wait), multiple orders were incorrect or incomplete: the veal parmesan arrived as chicken, and the chicken for a fettuccine Alfredo was missing altogether.
Nearly all of the meat dishes were extremely overworked and dry—both salmon entrées were very dry, and both chicken dishes were also very dry. The only standout was the filet, which was cooked well, though it was difficult to justify the $50 price point. We chose not to order dessert.
Overall, this was not a good experience. The service was poor, the food quality was disappointing, and the attention to basic standards was lacking. Unfortunately, everyone at the table agreed this was their worst experience at Bravo, and most expressed they would likely not return.
My guest and I visited Bravo! Italian Restaurant at the Waterfront in Homestead, PA, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The restaurant’s exterior looked beautiful and inviting, with its bright yellow facade and iconic “BRAVO!” sign glowing against the night sky. The classic Italian look, complete with striped awnings over the entrances labeled “Cucina” and “Bellini Martini,” set the perfect mood for the evening.
As for the food, it did not disappoint. We started with a rich, flavorful Lobster Bisque that paired wonderfully with their fresh, warm bread. For the main course, I had the Pasta Bravo, which was an absolute delight. The rigatoni pasta was perfectly cooked, and the creamy sauce with a generous amount of cheese made it incredibly satisfying. My guest ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which came with crispy, tender chicken cutlets smothered in melted cheese, served with a bed of spaghetti. Both dishes were well-prepared and full of flavor.
We also shared a House Salad to accompany the meal, which was fresh and served as a great starter. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned.
Our server, Savanna, was very attentive and respectful to our needs. The restaurant’s interior was just as charming as the food. The Roman-inspired decor, including columns and arches, added to the authentic Italian ambiance, making our dining experience feel even more special.
One more plus—their EC Club discount applied a $20 off offer, bringing our total to $37.42, which was a great value for such a high-quality meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Bravo! if you’re in the Homestead area and craving a delicious Italian meal in a warm, inviting setting. Just note that the meal size is large, so bring your appite. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, and I will definitely be returning!
My partner and I have been going to this Bravos location for 15 years, and have enjoyed it every single time, but unfortunately we will never be going back after our last meal due to the complete decline in food quality.
To be clear: The service was GREAT, the staff were friendly and they did their jobs perfectly. The wait time was incredibly short and our server was kind and attentive… but the FOOD was terrible!
The meal for 2 cost $98, but the calamari was rubbery and tasted like nothing, our pasta dishes were definitely out-of-the-box Barilla pasta and had over cooked shrimp, and our “warm chocolate desert” was more like a microwave mug cake with “vanilla gelato” that was actually freezer burned vanilla ice cream.
