I would challenge any restaurant to be faster and friendlier than La Fogata! I was simply blown away by both of these things when I stopped here on my trip home from Charleston, SC. The food was excellent, the variety was very good, and they have daily specials as well each day. I had the Burrito California with chicken and it was exceptionally flavorful! Loved it! But the service is definitely what will make me remember this place when I’m passing through this area the next time!

La Fogata is our go-to for Mexican in the Chapin area. Food is always good and consistent. Service is always quick. The guys there always recognize us and make us feel at home. We like the new menu options like the Eagle Plate and Carolina Bowl. Typical, delicious Mexican fare!

The atmosphere was wonderful, the service premium, but the food was less than good. When you think Mexican, you have certain expectations. I chose a $9.99 combo, with taco and enchilada, both with ground beef. The beef was dry, and had little if any spices..enchilada was the same. With alot of salt, pepper, hot sauce, and processed bulk sour cream, was able to eat it. There was a wide variety on the menu, and my friend seemed to enjoy the steak fajitas, which were served on a searing plate. All the plates were hot, leading me to think they were straight from the microwave. If you chose to go, I would definatly avoid my choice. I live in a culinary devoid town, so I’m sure I will go again. I usually don’t do one and done, so will go again and give any positive updates.

It is my family’s go too. Moved to Chapin several years ago and this is the only Mexican restaurant we go to. My kids love it. My wife and I love the variety.

I was very disappointed. I asked the waiter how was the special for the day and he said very good. The rice was dry. The chicken was very dry. The tortillas were cold and I only seen my waiter when he brought me my food. So no I won’t be going back there.
