This restaurant is a counter-serve fried seafood spot in the tradition of many similar places in the region. There is nowhere to dine in; bring insulated bags for the ride or get ready to eat in the car. Handwritten signs for current specials line the otherwise sparse brick walls of this one room establishment. There are tons of options including alligator and monkfish. The one pound jumbo shrimp dinner was ample and prepared well; big, tender shrimp in a breading that held to them well but didn’t overpower. Scallops were a little watery but were tasty, especially with the lemon provided. Counter service is limited to one person at a time on an old school register, but the gentleman ringing me out worked to help me get the most out of the specials and discounts that applied to what I ordered, which I really appreciate. I’ll be back for sure to try some more items.

If you want good fried seafood and wings… you will not be disappointed! Just the right amount of breading and seasoned just right. Sadly there us no place to sit and enjoy your meal, but the staff was friendly and worked fast. Even though they forgot my fries. I will definitely be back again!

The cat fish was great. The batter on the whiting was ok. I enjoyed the fried string beans, oh and I also tried both potatoes Cajun and plan and for restaurant food it was surprisingly decent.

Decent spot with a variety of seafood options but I went for the jumbo shrimp 7.6. Ngl these shrimp are enormous plus they offer different types of dipping sauces so I got their cocktail and tartar sauce. Now the shrimp themselves are ok and the breading lacks any real flavor. It’s bland and the sauces they give you help out the shrimp, especially the tartar. I’ve had better-fried shrimp in the city so this place is ain’t it for me. Overall 7.7 with a variety of options on the menu if ever in the area I’ll try something else.

Not far from the Ford plant and right by the Calumet River is Harbor Point Shrimp. The spot looks and feels like the neighborhood, like blue collor family. Been wanting to try this spot for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. Ordered the crab chips, alligator, shrimp and fried pickles everything was fresh and fried perfectly. The honey mustard with the alligator was a nice touch. The crab and shrimp was savory and light. It maybe blue collar but feels it could be fine dinning in its flavor.

Basic at most! I ordered a “Jumbo Chicken Wing Dinner” & 1/2 pounds of JUMBO shrimp…I must say they do live by their promise of “JUMBO” because the wings are huge and the shrimp. The guy at register was not so customer service friendly though could have been a bad day or what ever the case is , See people don’t understand the whole “Customer Service” thing….If you don’t want to be nice fake it until you make it. (LOL) that will run business away! and it takes away from a persons experience. & I did not get my Cocktail sauce for the shrimp . Things like condiments we shouldn’t have to remind them of as they should already come with my order as I requested them. But I give them 3 stars only because of the potion size I was also out of there in Les than 15 mins. BUT… it’s average tasting at best! I’ll add my photos , BTW I added my own lemon pepper sprinkle on the wings.

The food is nasty I ordered off of doordash the food was sitting so long that the top melted, the hush papppies are burned. The own was very rude and wanted to argue with me because I told him that the hush puppies look like they were in bad grease. I do not recommend due to old food and bad customer service

Wanted to support a local restaurant and ended up being a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! NEVER AGAIN!!!! I paid $49 for unseasoned tasteless food. Ordered a pound of catfish, they didn’t give me a fillet they gave me nuggets. I ordered the red beans and rice it was soggy and unseasoned! I had to recook it on my stove and add seasoning to it. The buffalo shrimp wasn’t coated with flour properly it fell off. And please don’t let me get started on the fried green tomatoes leave fried green tomatoes to the people of the SOUTH! I refried them in the air fryer they weren’t cooked all the way through! I honestly want my money back! Support more black owned businesses.

I really miss the old owner. He was so kind and nice and valued his customers. I don’t understand why these people don’t understand, if wasn’t for us, y’all wouldn’t succeed. The black man who answer the phone is extremely rude. Me and my family been coming here for years and never experienced this kind of rudeness. This was my last time spending any of my money here. The food ain’t even as good as it use to be. Learn how to be nice and respectful to your customers. That will go a long way.
