We had a somewhat conflicting experience here. This place is beautiful for sure, a very cozy dining room with lovely decor. The drinks were tasty! We got the tater tot casserole appetizer to share and really enjoyed it. The main courses were unfortunately just not great. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it came out overcooked, the breading burnt actually. I really hate to send food back, but this was inedible and im not sure how it got sent out of the kitchen to begin with. We sent back and ordered a burger instead. The waitress seemed cold and not so apologetic. My husband ordered the gnocchi and it was rather mushy but he didn’t want to send his back as well, so he ate it. By the time my replacement meal came out, my husband had already completely finished his meal. The burger was nothing special and eating alone while my husband was finished just killed the experience for us. It was our 1st time there and im not sure we’d go back. Wasn’t worth the over $100

I almost skipped Gilded Unicorn because of some rough online reviews claiming poor service and being ignored. Honestly? That wasn’t our experience at all. It was a packed Friday night, and our table along with the ones around us was fully taken care of. Service was attentive, food came out in a reasonable time, and the atmosphere never felt rushed or neglected. Always glad when a place proves the comments wrong.
What We Ordered:
• Loaded Deviled Eggs
• Bocce Rolls
• Crispy Wings (Jalapeño Honey)
• Parm Crusted White Fish
• Gold Burger
• ☕️ Mexican Express
• Unicorn Drop
• Berry Lemon Cake
Cozy comfort, strong cocktails, and a vibe that does the heavy lifting. ✨

OMG, this place is such an experience. If you like magical environments and unicorns, this place is for you. It is located underground and it feels like you are in a pub of a castle. The food came relatively quick. When I tell you the presentation of the food was beautiful, I can’t express it enough. Now, the taste, was otherworldly. Their deviled eggs are a MUST TRY and their baked Mac is PERFECT. The chopped cobb salad was super fresh. We also got an old fashioned and, my sister as a self proclaimed alcohol enthusiast, said it was good, but the alcohol itself wasn’t. Tho it was cute so it was worth it. Overall I WILL be coming back!

Great experience! I said at the bar one night and at a table another night. Great service both times and the food is outstanding! I tried several appetizers and even dessert along with the main course and everything I tried was amazing. I highly recommend the deviled eggs Because if you like deviled eggs, these are a must try.

I have been all the world and have drank some amazing mixed drinks. The Kretek Smoke Over Manhattan, was probably my favorite so far. The taste of the smoke was amazing. I have to say I was impressed
I had the huge 14oz porterhouse pork chop, amazing taste an cooked just right.
Fantastic location in the elusive Spokane underground catacombs. Beside the oldest standing hotel in Spokane, the Montvale. Treat yourself and go see Brad. You will not regret it.

Food was great. The shrimp scampi had a great amount of sauce. The bocce rolls were a perfect starter. The baked Mac was a good mixture of protein with the chicken and bacon, with creamy Mac. Only downside to this place is you are sitting too close to people. We were only about maybe two feet from the other tables.

Unparallel interior. Medieval adjacent … stone walls high wood paneled ceilings, rustic chandeliers and the right kind of framed kitschy hangings in all the right places. It’s fun and fascinating to be in here.
Interesting craft cocktails — had the Morgana with extra prosecco — with compelling names. Solid sides–had the sour cream and chives mashed potatoes (could honestly have used more sour cream, butter, and salt tonight– maybe just an off night?) and excellent deviled eggs piled high with a lovely touch of cheese crisps. Would order the deviled eggs again; the mashed potatoes not so much.
Also ordered the peanut butter banana pie. That was a very nice texture and not too sweet. The bananas had been slightly Brûléed…and that was delicious.
Really loved the high ceilings and the brick and stone walls. Comfortably welcoming atmosphere.
Katie was a great bartender.

The Guilded Unicorn is embedded in a gorgeous basement that was probably set around the late 1880s. Stone and brick with tall ceilings make a great atmosphere.
If you want an intimate setting or have somewhat private discussions, eat elsewhere. You are seated next to others that are quite close.
Service was slow. So slow the hostess ended up bringing us our water–and it wasn’t iced.
We ordered and our food arrived in a timely fashion afterward.
The Food: my tater tots were good, but I ordered French fries. The Wygu burger came on a nicely toasted bun with some great trimmings, including crispy bacon. The problem? All I could taste was salt. It seems like the salt shaker broke open when they were prepping the burger. And I like salt. This was unbearable. I didn’t have time to send it back so I ate what I could and finished with my fries….I mean tots.

Woah! Everything was exceptional from the moment we walked in. We started with the deviled eggs & tater tot casserole and OH! MY! GOSH! Deviled eggs, best thing I think I’ve ever put in my mouth. And the tater tot casserole was next level. For entrees we ordered the burger & the gnocchi and both were incredible. Perfectly cooked. Highly highly recommend!!!

I really enjoyed the tater tots that came with my super yummy burger. The waiter Matt was very nice and had lots of fun stories to tell us. I’ll definitely go back.
