The chirashi bowl was fresh and rather generous for the price.
Giant pork tonkatsu was moist and not over fried served with Japanese curry that was spicy and rich in flavor.
Service staff were polite and ready to serve with a smile.
Overall experience was great!
Especially the rice, so nice till she rather eat finish the rice instead of salmon! (Because she say, “salmon really a lot!”, so you can see it’s worth it!)
We went there as got trust 1-1 voucher in the app due to birthday, and they explain to us properly what is available and let us in even we never make any reservations.
Beef and oysters were also very of course!
Ingredients on their chirashi bowl were fresh, portion just rather small.
Their tomahawk pork katsu was good. Portion generous.
Guess they have to find a balance somehow?
Not too bad, good lunch experience.
Was a bit disappointed that some options weren’t available the day i went, especially as i went when it just opened for the day. Ended up getting the collagen rice bowl which was pretty flavourful but there were some extremely chewy portions of meat. Topped up $6 for some gyoza, salad, soup and green tea. The gyoza was crispy and decently filled while the salad was fresh and provided a nice contrast to the rice bowl.
Service was friendly and food came within 5 minutes, the interior decor is also pretty nice.
While I understand policies exist, the complete lack of empathy was upsetting — especially after staff knew I was pregnant. I sat outside on a makeshift seat as I was hungry and didn’t want to spend time finding a proper dining spot while the restaurant remained empty. The staff noticed but avoided eye contact instead of addressing the situation professionally.
Very disappointing service.
Oysters we got were rotten and we ended up leaving them behind because we didn’t wanna take the risk anymore. There was zero service recovery other than the manager only gave us a laughable 10% discount on that We are just hoping we don’t get food poisoning.
Cocktails used to be filled to the brim but not anymore this time. Also, it was not as tasty.
Salmon slices were also a lot thinner compared to last week when I patronised with my friends.
Regret coming here and would have very much rather spent our money elsewhere.
i’ve always been a fan of their rice bowls and sweet potato fries, but decided to try their chilled udon this time. i’m glad i did – the udon was of the perfect springiness and drenched in a light, umami, savoury sauce. proteins were a hit as usual, generous portions and really tasty. the truffle yakiniku was melty and tender, whereas the chunks of salmon sashimi were fresh.
service wise, it was pretty terrible:
– we waited 40mins for a table at 8pm on a weekday. upon entering the restaurant, we realised there were plenty of tables around, they just werent cleared. what a rude shock tbh…
– no waiters around to serve us when the restaurant wasnt busy. waited for a good 10-15 minutes to get a waiter’s attention to get water and additional cutlery.
– walked to the cashier to make payment and hovered around for at least 10 minutes bc there was no one at the payment counter.
overall i spent about 1.5h having dinner here but 90% of the time was spent waiting. quite a bummer of an experience, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking to have a stress free meal.
