Decades ago I had dined in La Gran Via and enjoyed the restaurant very much, so I returned in January 2026 with 4 others.
We were all disappointed. The food was not as good as before, my chair wobbled, the overhead lights occasionally flickered off and on, the soap dispenser in the ladies’ bathroom required us to open it in order to get soap from it, and the waiters began removing the salt and pepper and other condiments from our table while we were still eating.
Though we hadn’t been there longer than a usual dinner might last, this made us feel like they were rushing us along, especially when the head waiter began scraping bread crumbs from the tablecloth with a tablespoon LOL!

Cons: We had reservations for this restaurant, but when we arrived we were seated at a table that lights that flickered every 15 minutes or so.above it.
My dish was average since the chicken was dry.
The soap in the restroom was shampoo, according to the bottle, and the dispenser for it did not work.
I won’t be returning there.
Pro: The waiters were attentive and they aimed to please, although we felt a bit rushed after a while, in a restaurant with many empty tables.

As we were driving thru town, we decided to try this restaurant. Phenomenal! We ordered a Caesar salad for 2, they made the salad from scratch in front of us, amazing! Best salad I have ever ever had! The Paella was also excellent.
Lots of history and lovely ambiance. If you’re looking for a high end experience, go there!

The Service was nice but the food was not that great. The selection of beer was limited and the menus were sticky which made it unpleasant to go through. I ordered the garlic chicken which was way over cooked and the order of steamed vegetables were cold.
I will definitely not go back.

The place is beautiful and the food is great. The one thing that disappointed us was the subtle negligence of the master server. Leaving this feedback here for the offense we suffered. It’s possible the gentlemen’s is hard of hearing?
The master server did the following.
– We only had one napkin. The master server came by. We requested a new one. He walked off and one was never delivered. We had to ask somebody else passing by.
– I asked for a recommendation. He recommended the most expensive thing in the menu.
– He pulled a plate I was still eating off of.
– He scoffed at my companion’s question about an espresso drink having sugar.
– We ordered too much. And asked for the rest to go. He pulled it. Later we asked for it. They searched for it. It was gone. When he took it I jokingly said to myself that’s the last we’ll see of that. There was no offer to remedy the situation. We wouldn’t have accepted one but it’s the thought that counts.
I hate to think what would have caused this negligence. There was one gracious server throughout that made up for the experience.

Salmon was undercooked. They kept hiding the wine bottle, why?? Service could have been better, it wasn’t a busy night

Food was good and the service was really nice. The ambience of te place is pretty good, we really enjoyed the piano music. The selection of wine was wide.

I can not say anything good about the food. The Caesar salad was absolutely flavorless. I’ve had better dressing out of a bottle. the soup was not to my liking. the paella was horrible with very dry fish. Like it had been sitting around for a day and with one small shrimp, one small clam, and a flavorless rice. Absolutely no saffron whatsoever. I’ve had better paella out of a package. The service was good. The bread was normal. We were very, very disappointed. the service was good, and i like the restaurant ambience. if you’re looking for good food, go elsewhere.
