What a fantastic place. Cool old train station with a fun atmosphere. Tons of friendly locals and tourists. Basically everything you get there can be sourced from a map of Vermont they have on the wall. The burgers were amazing. Actually got a legit medium rare burger done perfectly. You are really supporting community, quality, and Vermont by patroning this place.
Staff is also great. Our servers, Sara and Genevieve were fantastic and so friendly to us, and they all spoke so highly of their coworkers and the business, it made it feel meaningful.

When I tell you this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, I really mean it. Perfectly cooked to how I asked for. I ordered the worthy burger and it had the most amazing sauce I’ve ever had on a burger. Staff were also absolutely lovely and very friendly! I would return to Vermont just to eat here again. 10/10 absolutely worth it!

Today (8/9/2025), my wife and I were in South Royalton for the first time. Our daughter is starting her first semester at the Vermont Law School and we were moving her in. The town is also a bucket list destination for fans of Gilmore Girls.
We were hungry and looking for a late lunch. There are a handful options in town, and we chose Worthy Burger!
It was a crazy hot day (90+) so we decided to eat inside. There was a hostess station outside, but we assumed it was for the outside seating area so by-passed it. Oops – apparently we should have started there. Sorry, we now know for next time.
The indoor space is rustic and quaint. The food and drink menus are chalkboards. I like the vibe here. You order at the register, and when your food is ready they bring it to you. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and my wife had the signature Worthy Burger. Both burgers were tasty. I washed mine down with 85 Bears by Big Tree Brewing. Coach Ditka would agree – this beer is worthy of the greatest football team ever!
Service is hard-working and friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a burger worthy of your time and money … you might want to give Worthy Burger a try.

What an excellent reason to stop in Royalton. Cross the cool bridge, go past the town square, drive under the tracks to Rainbow St. If this isn’t the best burger in VT, it’s certainly in the Top 3. Yes, it’s a bit pricey. But the beer list is amazing and the vibe is really fun. They have an excellent system for ordering and then receiving your food. We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday and there was no wait.

Honestly it’s the only place around to get something to eat so they have you! $50 for two people that did not have alcohol. You wait in line to order at the counter then find your own table. The only thing they do is cook your food and deliver it which takes a very long time. My husband makes a better burger! I had the chicken Cesar sandwich and my husband had a worthy burger. Plan to be at your table for an hour.

Very cool location and great setup. I liked ordering at the counter. Great beer selection, including Edward which is amazing! The fried dough bites and sauce are worth the trip alone. The burgers were great with lots of flavor. The truffle fries were just okay as they were overcooked. I also would say the burgers are over priced, but still very good. The overall experience here and the overall quality of food and beer are definitely worth the trip. A really cool place to chill with friends. Parking can be tight, so carpool if possible.

Even tho this is one of the only few places to eat, it also is actually one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was juicy, full of flavor and the fries were absolute perfection. The side dipping sauces were also amazing and the staff were super friendly and cute. I’m sad I’m leaving the area bc I want to eat this burger every day of my life.

I love the burgers at Worthy Burger!! The service can be hit or miss. Last time I was there, no one greeted us or gave an explanation of how to sit/order, which is unique to this establishment and we hadn’t been in a while. Basically what you do is pick a table and there’s a table number. Then, you go inside to order at the counter and you tell them what your table number is. Then you go sit back down and someone brings your food. Sitting indoors feels a bit chaotic and tight because so many people are in and out to use the tiny bathrooms and order their food. I love the outdoor seating – it is definitely a chill, Vermont, hipster vibe! I think this place would be super fun for a group of friends or a date night. I haven’t tried the beer, but they have a ton of local options, which is always a plus! Would recommend, just be prepared for some confusion and figuring out of their system… but it is worth it for that Worthy Burger!!
