This was a lovely experience! First of all, I love pumpkin everything and they have pumpkin pancakes year-round according to the staff(!!!). Secondly, their coffee was good, refilled often, and not super acidic (rare in any diner). The Belgian waffle was amazingly fluffy and perfect and the pumpkin pancakes were some of the best I’ve had before. It was busy but not packed, and clearly popular. Definitely going back!

I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant to eat at before leaving town for a 6 hour drive home. I picked Clarettes off google map and am glad I did. I was seated right away and my order was taken soon after. The serve all day breakfast a pleasant surprise. Delilah was my server. A perfect old school waitress. Two thumbs up. I had breakfast as pictured. Everything was cooked exquisitely and to perfection. Clarette’s is a rarity in this quick paced world of fast food mentality. I wished there were places like this everywhere. If I make it back to Walla Walla, Clarence will be my go to restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Jim…

Haven’t been to Clarette’s in years. Boy that was a mistake! Great service, food, and atmosphere. Took grandkids out and happy plates all around + split a crepe for desert. YUM!

I’ve eaten here since I was little but hadn’t gotten takeout. I ordered strawberry crepes ( honestly it’s the only thing to eat here lol they’re sublime) expecting them to be packaged like they were on a plate. But they were packed disassembled. Meaning the whipped cream ( fresh and delish), strawberries and crepes were in separate containers. It is genius. This photo is my leftovers from yesterday’s meal. It tastes like it was freshly made.

I love club sandwiches, and I actually type “club sandwich” into maps when I need lunch. I found this place on my way to Montana. All the seniors in WW were here on this day, and I’ve yet to decide if that’s a good sign or not. There was a bit of seating confusion, but I was led to a booth in the front atrium (this place is pretty big) with a collapsed seat that just about ate me when i sat down. Thankfully the other seat was ok! My sandwich came with some pretty ok curly fries. The structure of this sandwich was peculiar; it had all the club ingredients (turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato) on each layer…so a 3 decker, but constructed like two identical sandwiches on top of one another! Very satisfying, but the bread was a bit crumbly, so it fell apart rapidly.
I’m not sure how I feel about this, so I will call it an IC(C)E…Interesting Cultural (Clubsandwich) Experience. If I cruise through Walla Walla again, I may try a different joint…but this is a solid choice.

This is my first time eating at Clarettes. It’s my understanding that it’s been recently taken over by another person. I enjoyed the food. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The service by Audrey was wonderful. She was very attentive and friendly and made me feel welcomed. The food was very good. I had breakfast. I had the pioneer biscuit breakfast and it was very good. It’s also military and veteran friendly and that they give a nice discount for veterans which is a nice touch. I will definitely come back and eat here again.

Clarette’s is my go to for liver and onions! Absolutely the BEST in the area. My wife loves the french toast. She swears it’s the BEST she’s ever eaten.
Service is always top notch. Shawna already knows what I want to order and is friendly and engaging.
If you’re looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, Clarette’s is the spot!

If a diner could be Grandma’s house…
Clarette’s, on this snowy day, was “shed your coat and come on in” inviting.
Not super busy. The host showed us to our table in the dining room “extension,” like a closed in porch.
In the main dining room (where the grown-ups gathered)—a patchwork of floral wallpapers and framed pictures create an on-brand cozy feel.
Tapestry upholstered seat backs in our booth (like my Nan’s couch).
Service was slow to kick in. Asked the host, passing by, if she could help us out. This was a bummer and not so welcoming.
Benedict. Great hashbrowns—crispy outside, fluffy inside. Poached eggs—cooked whites (thanks, Gran), velvety yolks.
Ended up with a drink trio: diner coffee, mimosa(s), water (love the fluted retro glass).
Second visit. Will give it another go (love how close it is to The Finch Hotel).
