I stopped in here to have a drink a while back and loved the decor so I came back to try the food. First off, we put our name in the the hostess and was told we had the next high top bar table next. We sat down at a small table and grabbed a drink before being sat at our table. The table was being cleaned and just about ready. A couple came in and tried to sit at a reserved table and the hostess then gave our table to this new customer. She walked over and apologized. I did not want an apology, I wanted the table. We finally were sat down a few minutes later and proceesed to order. We had the probably the worst clams casino we have ever had. Breadcrumbs and butter…no flavor…rubbery clam. Salad cane out with a very watery sort of creamy homemade dressing. Yellow lettuce and green beans. No good. I then had the veal parm. It was just ok. 2 small thick pieces with a sauce that was just ok. She had the bolognese. Also just ok. Service was slow and our second waitress seemed a little out of it. Absolutely a great atmosphere and decor…but I will not be back for the food.

I found this restaurant to be absolutely fantastic. Yes it’s cash only. It’s right on the door when you walk in. Every bite of my Chicken Picatta and pasta was decadent. Ive been to restaurants where they somehow ruin sauté dishes but La Scala prepared my meal perfectly with chicken you can cut with a fork with that amazing lemon butter caper artichoke sauce. Bartenders both friendly on Sunday. Look forward to returning.

La Scalla is by far the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Everything I put in my mouth just melted. The lunch prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of the meal. It was worth the 30 mile drive!

The dinner was ruined because of management!!
Let me explain: the service was wonderful I left a good tip however the management has all these rules that are not business friendly.
I and my colleagues have expense accounts the restaurant would not give us separate cheques, just one check for the table.
This is not business friendly, on top of that they do not take credit cards which is not advertised anywhere on Google maps or their website.
The food was amazing the service was great the atmosphere was good, old school Italian.
I wish I could give more stars but management has to understand and make changes.
Business people have credit cards and on top of that the worst thing is they have an ATM machine which will charge you a fee depending on your bank!!!
Completely disgusting I will not recommend this restaurant to my colleagues or to anyone else.
I will never go back here.

We found a metal wire scouring pad thread in our meal. It was about five inches long and sharp. The vegetable they served was an entire mostly raw head of broccoli and I mean it was HUGE. I loved the workers I loved their commitment to amending this ordeal but whoa.

The chicken Parmigiana was perfect…and the sauce(?)..mmmmmmmm so so good…my husband devoured it!
I had the seafood medley scampi …there was so much I brought the rest home for another meal tomorrow!
The atmosphere is perfect for a casual lunch or a beautiful dinner date.

Three of us girls finally made it back here in August, one is living in Florida now but came from the north shore n heard about this place. She absolutely loved it n thought the food was the best n home made. Even had it for lunch the next day! Chicken parm was awesome n even the bread you can’t stop eating too! I’m going back tomorrow for lunch n I can’t wait! Also having work Xmas party there. Great place, food is awesome n wait staff is much better than yrs ago.

Had my husbands retirement dinner there tonight 12/6. Twelve people attended. The food was good and the service was amazing. I talked to a Mike when making reservations. I reached out to hm numerous times with questions. He always got back to me right away, and made it a point to check in numerous times. Very happy with my experience! Would definitely have another function/dinner party there again.

We ordered mussels, veal roberto, and chicken. The mussels sauce was delicious, that was one of the best sauce for mussels I’ve had. However, the mussels aren’t fresh. The meat tasted old and frozen for weeks. The veals and shrimp with a side of linguine was not bad. Good portion. Restaurant is cash only, they have an ATM inside.

We held my oldest daughters birthday party dinner here this afternoon. First let me say that everything was perfect. When we started to look for a place knowing my daughter loves good Italian food I immediately thought of La Scala. After speaking with Karen there I knew we would be in good hands. They made planning this event easy and pleasureable to organize.
When we arrived to set up a few decorations Michael and the staff were ready to make this a great party for Victoria’s birthday.
Kayla (hope I spelled your name correctly) was the waitress that handled all of our needs. Very very attentive and in a great positive mood. She could not have been better.
Last but not least The Food!
I wanted to try the Veal Roberto because I had not had it before. Delicious
I asked everyone how their food was and everyone raved about their meals
Appetizers and garlic bread were so good and the desserts were great too!
I cannot recommend La Scala Ristorante enough. Book it!
