We stopped at that diner because is was nice and shiny-looking. The interior is a bit drab, but clean. Service was nice and friendly. Only bit of problem was the food. One of our friend’s kid got that huge lasagna that was still a bit frozen in the middle. My daughter got a kid portion spaghetti and meatball: almost no sauce and a single 4 inches wide meatball.

Ate here during the crazy lockdowns of 2020. They let us eat outside under a giant tent with picknick tables. Large menu with lots of choices. Hamburger was very good. It is large with a jumbo bun. Very tasty. The plain fries and twister fries were both very good. Crunchy outside and soft inside.

Large plates and yummy food! Stopped here for breakfast before a long drive. It’s a pleasant restaurant with vegetarian and GF options. Pictured here is the Swiss cheese omelette with potatoes and toast. We all cleaned our plates.

I ordered the Philly cheese steak but it was really a hot roast beef sandwich with onions and cheese on a hoagie roll. Can’t really complain cuz it was delicious and generous serving. But no. Not a Philly cheese steak.

While we were just passing through the area- must say we really lucked out finding the Airmont Diner. The diner was cool, clean and offered immediate service. I ordered the full rack of ribs and my wife got the spannkopita. The portions were very generous and the service was outstanding. It is one of those diners where the owner takes time to check in with his guests- nice touch you don’t see much anymore. Don’t know if we will be in Airmont again anytime soon but you can be sure we will stop back if we are. 5 stars
