Service was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we sat down, everything felt on point. Our food came out perfectly cooked, fresh, and right on time—and you could tell real care went into every detail.

My family and I have been coming here for years, and the change over the past month has been incredible. It’s honestly night and day. We had the pleasure of meeting the new General Manager, Mike, and he is a fantastic addition to the team. He’s present, attentive, and clearly detail-oriented, with a genuine passion for making sure everything runs smoothly.

You can feel the difference in the atmosphere—cleaner, more organized, and more welcoming. It’s refreshing to see leadership that’s engaged and hands-on, and it truly shows in the service, the food, and the overall experience.

This place has always had potential, but under the new management, it’s better than it’s been in years. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service. Great job gators!

I had a wonderful visit to Gators Dockside tonight! The staff were professional, attentive, and truly made the experience enjoyable. I also noticed the new GM, Mike, who was personable and went out of his way to ensure every customer had everything they needed. It’s clear he cares about creating a great dining experience, and it really shows. Highly recommend!

First time visit. Not what we expected. We thought it would be a high end seafood joint. Very surprised at the casual clean atmosphere.
Excellent food. Great service.
Reasonable prices with daily drink specials. It’s now on our list of good local places to eat in Melbourne. Go get you some!

Love the food here! One of my favorite places when I dont want to cook a meal…came last week meal was not correct good but not my cup of tea called the lady was supper nice and credited my order for when I came back. Came back tonight got a lovely young lady named jessy she went above and beyond to make sure I left tonight with the perfect order and everything was correct thank you so much!

I wish I could give this place a better rate but I cant. Let me start by saying the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is a sports bar so its kinda loud but you can still talk fine with all the games on but thats my thing. I Love sports bars, however the food was not very impressive, ribs were overcooked and dry. Onion pedals were bland and the nachos were good except the cheese was like cheese wiz. To be fair I liked them but I wouldn’t say thats a typical thing. The wings however were pretty good. So it has its ups and downs but id say its a good spot to watch the game and have some finger foods and some beer with some good people. But the entries seem to need better quality. Im willing to give it another try simply for the fact for the mixed reviews and others giving positive reviews and truthfully it wasn’t all bad and im sure they can do much better. So at the end of the day, id say gators is worth giving a chance for sure.

This review is from a visit about a month ago but it is still very fresh in my mind. We met another couple at Gator’s before going to a show at the King center. We had a table of 4 next to the bar. Our “assigned” waitress was taking care of a Huge table of over 20 people on the other side of the bar in the outdoor area. We are sitting there looking for a waitress while other girls are standing near the end of the bar doing absolutely Nothing. I finally flagged one down to take our drink order. Our drinks were brought over to us but that waitress could Not take our food order since she wasn’t our “assigned” waitress. Finally after what was probably 25, 30 minutes our waitress came over literally in tears, apologizing for the long wait and took our Food order. All this time the manager, and I use the term loosely, was standing near the end of the bar watching all of this happening. The poor girl was so stressed out because of Horrible management that she was literally in tears and we were trying to calm her down. After we ordered the food came out and was very good. By then we were getting pressed for time since it took so long to order our food. The waitress also told us the manager made rude and coarse remarks to her adding to her stress level. Instead of sharing the work load of tables and available staff this poor girl was overworked and stressed out because of a Horrible manager who needs to find another job that does not involve working with people. Needless to say it started out our evening on a sour note and we don’t plan on going back.

Went here Friday, 1/9/26, at 1:45 and sat at a table in the bar area. Left at1:59 after being completely ignored for 14minutes which seems like an eternity when the place is nearly empty. Meanwhile I watched a little redhead server wander around and step outside to chat on her cell phone. In her defense she wasn’t working the bar area but I’ve been coming here over 10yrs and the girls usually help each other. The new? bartender seemed obsessed with a couple at the end of the bar and that was all she planned to do apparently. Both employees had made eye contact during my 14min stay but no acknowledgement. Not even a word when I walked past them to leave! Yes I could have begged for service but with so many nice places to eat in the area I’m not doing that. Too bad, place used to be awesome but coming every week during winter I’ve seen a steady decline last couple years. Like another commenter said management seems pretty useless here but I never saw a manager at all!

Waitress was okay. We ran out of drinks and was only checked on 2 times. Took 40 minutes for food to come out. Wings were room temperature. Sent back and 10 minutes later they were piping hot and dried out. The place was not busy at all. The hamburger and the other sandwich was okay. Hopefully they will get their act together and fix their issues. Not sure if we will go back.

Horrible food portions for the price. Only one nice waitress who is also the bar tender. The only reason why I gave this place 3 stars for service is because of her. I will not be spending my money at the place again. Please don’t waste your time.

Tried the restaurant last night, always drove by and it looked interesting on the outside. Ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizer and they weren’t cooked all the way. When it came time and received the dinner, the chicken Alfredo I had was drowned in oil that made it look more like a soup then a pasta bowl. Fast forward hours later I believe that I had gotten food poisoning. I don’t want to blame it on this place, since it could have been from something else that I ate, but just be cautious. If they bring out something that doesn’t look appealing definitely speak up. Also my bf ordered well done chicken wings and those came out not well done and dry/naked. The side salad he got looked gross as well. He didn’t get sick though .The waitress did fine and the atmosphere was ok with a pool table, bar and alot of tvs for viewing football. Once again I’m not blaming this place for my sickness but the food wasn’t tasty and could use either a different cook or different way to make it/ training
