Great bbq and drink pricing. Bbq sandwich with fries for $17 and $5 beers with $1 off happy hour. I’ll cheers to that! Bartender was nice and friendly. Decent amount of locals frequent here for food, drinks, and slots.

This place is pretty mediocre. Nothing too special. I didn’t eat the food this time (my husband and his bestie did) but I tried the sauces that are made in house and they weren’t bad. The tots lacked any seasoning. Not sure I’d come back.

Small hole in the wall BBQ joint off the beaten path. Did not see a smoker nor smell smoke on site. There is a small casino room to the side when you walk in. Lots of TVs to watch the games. Food left a lot to be desired. Very little seasoning/flavor on any of the meats, wings were crispy but flavorless as well. Little to no smoke on any of the meats. 4/10 on food, 8/10 on service and atmosphere.

We are on the island for an event and didn’t want to fight traffic to go into the city. We found Boomers on maps and gave it a try and we were very pleased. Prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. It is easy to find, parking was adequate. Their house got, whiskey BBQ sauce was very good.

First of all going into this place it’s a very small. It was two hours before closing. We had a party at six with two kids, and they told us that we were not gonna be able to be seated in time with kids because they were too busy while standing there I am handicapped by the way I’m standing there clearly with my cane and the lady ran into me while clearing a table did not say excuse me did not ask me to move. Just literally was pushing me so we ended up leaving, couldn’t tell you about the food because obviously we didn’t stay but this place was the rudest Customer Service I have ever seen 0/10 recommended!

Absolutely incredible hidden gem. So thankful this place is on the island. I’m from NC born and bred and bbq is in my blood. These folks smoke their pigs fresh every day in their smoker out back, just like my grandpa did it. I got a pound of pulled pork and it honestly made me feel like I was back home. Definition of soul. If you want true NC style hog I recommend the pulled pork, take it home and pour your apple cider vinegar on it, it will transport you. Thanks for being open Boomers, yall are doing it RIGHT. Coleslaw also is made right, with that creamy peppery taste. 10/10

It was super busy when I got there around dinner time mid-week. The bartender was occupied so the cook got my order and started it while I waited to put it in with the bartender. Way above and beyond for a cook! Give that gal a raise!!
I got the serious starter and a side of killer collards. The food was excellent. The pork loin that came in the starter was a little dry but that’s the only negative point I had. Will definitely go here again!!

BBQ isn’t bad here and with fair prices. They got plenty of options to choose from their menu as well as beverage choices. ATM, outdoor smoking section, video poker/slot machines and keno to keep you occupied while waiting for your meal. Def worth a try if you’re in the area.

Still great service, bbq is still very delicious (but not the best) and my coworker loved this place. I’m glad I can bring newbies here and they talk about how good the food and prices are.

This place has gone downhill since I last reviewed this restaurant and giving them four stars. Their “Everyday Special” comes with pull pork now and a smaller portion size. The pork ribs tasted like it’s been boiling in water and then roasted in the oven. By far the worst BBQ I’ve had and will not be eating here again until they figure out how to use a smoker properly.
