My wife and I stopped here before our drive home and were super happy with our experience. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly as well. I ordered the B.E.L.T. and she got the French Toast. We also got sides of bacon and sausage to try and it was all so good. The bar also has a lot of really fun decor to look at while you are waiting or eating. I would recommend this spot to anyone and will definitely come back next time we are in the city!

We always have a wonderful time at Dempsey’s! The brunch is so good! Classic Irish pub with a family feel, very welcoming and a Columbus staple. Heavy soccer bar! Cool back space and basement for events. Always bring out of town friends here!

Trivia night was horribly organized. Severely understaffed and had everyone standing by the bar waiting for at least 20+ minutes while no one was taking anyone’s orders. The food obviously took even longer but it’s crazy how they have only four servers serving well over 120+ people…

I’ve only had takeout from here and the first time was pretty decent. The second time I only got fries to go and that was good as well. The third and last time (November 4th), I ordered fries to go online and when I showed up to get it, they didn’t have it. The guy told me they couldn’t call me since there was no number and that their system was down, understandable. Then I asked if I could have a refund and the guy said “yeah it’ll have to be by the end of the day to process it” okay cool. I gave them until the next day and I checked my bank account, there was no refund. So I called them and asked about it but all they told me is that I would have to call back the next day when the manager will be in. At that point, I’m just thinking that this is not professional at all. If I had a business, I would make sure I give the customer better confirmation about the refund or at least offer a card that lets them know they’ll get their fries next time that our system is up and running again. I did have high hopes of this place being consistently good because the host of my airbnb recommended them but the last experience made me not want to ever go back.

Pleasant Irish bar in southern downtown Columbus. We were staying at Westin next door, and snagged some food and drink. Nice vibe and friendly bartender.
Will say they were out of a lot of menu items and had a little mishap on the food order, but still a solid choice as stuff happens.

We enjoyed a dinner at Dempsey’s before a show at the Southern Theater. They do not have an extensive menu but the traditional fair is excellent. Each of our party ordered a different plate or sandwich and everyone reported theirs was excellent .

Took a minute to get acknowledged but service was fast and friendly thereafter. Charming little pub that pays respect to firefighters.
I got the scottish salmon fellow diner got pot roast.
The salmon was perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned with a slightly cajun hint to it. Smashed potatoes are redskins. Broccoli was a bit overdone but still good.
My only gripe was the portion. Way smaller than say the pot roast. Fellow diner loved the sandwich and I helped polish off the tato tots.
Id say especially with a bigger portion on my plate and wider selection of beers, it would easily be 5 stars given pricing. I will return for the flavor profile on that salmon, very well done.

My husband and I had breakfast at Dempsey’s Food and Spirits on his birthday. We had planned to have brunch at another location, but they opened later than we wanted (poor planning on my part) and we are so lucky we found this place! I ordered the French toast and my husband ordered the BELT (breakfast BLT – bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato). We were both very happy and left satisfied!
