We did get up & let staff know to come out
We both thought it was the best breakfast we’ve had in a while. However, with the bacon, added lemon ricotta and added cheese on one order of eggs, it was a pretty pricey meal for a breakfast. But, it was so good!
Kyle was our server and he did an extraordinary job! He took great care of us and made us feel very welcome.
The server never introduced himself, with maybe one table touch between serving and the check.
First Watch in Santa Rosa Beach is a mixed bag. The kitchen is solid – food is fresh, consistent, and comes out the same quality every time. Breakfast and brunch plates are on point, coffee is good, and you can count on what you order actually matching the menu.
The service, though, drags the experience down. Almost every visit, the staff acts like they’re having a bad day. You feel it in the attitude at the host stand, the lack of eye contact, and the short, rushed interaction at the table. It is not outright rude, but it is definitely not warm or welcoming, and it makes the whole meal feel a little tense instead of relaxed.
I keep going back because the food is dependable and the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but if the front-of-house attitude ever catches up to the quality coming out of the back, this place would be an easy five stars.
I read the earlier review of questionable service, which prompted my review.
I’ll say during my visits, the service was impecciable. Mark, Desmond , Katherine (Kat) and Tiffany were absolutely amazing.
The place is spotless, the vibe is really nice., and the food is top shelf
