When people visit Jax 5th Avenue Deli & Ale House in Lake Mary for the very first time, they always ask about the building’s architecture, the intricate details of the woodwork inside and how Jax came to be. We are all too happy to share the History of Jax. The design of the building was the vision of a Swiss hotelier when he set out to create an elegant, yet casual-gourmet restaurant that resembled a Swiss chalet in the heart of Lake Mary, FL in 1988. In 2007, another man had a different vision. He realized that the citizens of Lake Mary weren’t looking for a fine dining experience. They wanted a neighborhood restaurant that served deli sandwiches and more beer than they could ever drink & they wanted Sports, Sports & More Sports!

Great non-chain restaurant & Bar. Nice wood interior, plenty outside seating, some of it covered. The bar is large and set up great. Good place for groups of people. Cheeseburger was a good, and wings as well.

Hubby and I went last night and the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great! The chicken wings are a good size, perfectly crispy and the sauce!!! You MUST try their Jax sauce it was beyond amazing with a little kick, some sweetness and the perfect finish! We also tried their blackened fish sandwich and it was also very tasty. Onion rings are huge and almost an panko crunch exterior. They have 50+ beers on tap here too! Recommend getting a flight so you can have a little taste of multiple flavors. Our server was awesome as well, she also brought us out some house made pickles and at that point my heart was won. BTW they also have hot house made pickles! If you are looking for a great little restaurant with a nice menu and good beer selection (amazing prices too) this is your place! They have multiple seating areas so you can sit inside or outside by the water as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good restaurant that is family friendly and budget friendly! I did see they have live music on Friday nights as well. This was our first time there and we will be back with friends and family soon! Thanks for a great date night!

I googled best places to eat in Lake Mary and Jax 5th Ave was on the list. We decided to try it and had a fantastic lunch.
Server Jennifer recommended the French Dip and their burgers so I picked the Swiss Mushroom Burger which were both delicious.
We will definitely return to try other menu items. Highly recommend

Thank you Victoria for making are dinner so memorable. She was so inviting to me and my Truck Pup Apollo. The patio is dog friendly, they have 2 dog items on the menu and ice cold water for the dog bowl they bring out.
I had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries (the dipping sauce was scrumptious) and a side salad. The truck pup got the hamburger patty.
The friendless, great food and being dog friendly won me over for 5 stars! Great job team!

This place was GREAT. We ordered the teriyaki wings with fries and a mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings . The food came out super quick, was hot and fresh and tasted great. Also had a Spiked Tea that was yummy! The prices are good and the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend coming here! I know we will be back!

Food was good, waitress kicked my chair and didn’t bother to apologize, huge party of almost 10 children were literally running around the restaurant the entire evening – nobody asked them to sit down, not their guardians, nor the staff. Definitely put a damper on the evening. Was charged extra without warning for extra dressing on my wrap. Also, free pickles are long gone and the pickles you can pay for weren’t even really that good anymore. Also, be warned all, the menu prices are cash only – be prepared for a 4% upcharge for every item / charge if you want to pay with a card.

Food here is usually pretty good. Today we ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the buffalo chicken wrap. They ask how you want the burger cooked. I ordered medium and it was cooked and not overcooked, not sure it was medium but still good. The burger is also very big and fairly tasty.Bacon is not crispy as the menu states so ask for it to be crispy if you want it that way. Fries are also good and cooked correctly. The wrap seems to be made differently than before, still good but not as good as in the past.
The waitress was very nice and visited frequently to make sure food was correct and drinks filled.
Sat out on their outside seating. You always take a chance with outside seating. Done that 4 times and there always seems to be heavy smokers (today a few heavy cigar smokers) that always seem to be up wind of where we sit. Again our choice to sit outside but that does detract from the nice setting they have outside. Other clientele they attracted today was a couple that thought changing their baby’s diaper on top of the table while everyone is eating was appropriate. Not the restaurant’s fault but I would have thought they would have suggested to the couple to use the changing station in the bathroom. Hopefully they clean that table well.
They do have a surcharge for using a credit card or maybe I should say a discount for cash. However you want to look at it.

We were looking for a burger, didn’t want a chain. Jax did not disappoint! Wifey had the Bacon Cheeseburger medium and I had the Jax Special medium rare, brioche roll was fresh and was a great compliment. Both burgers did not let us down! Thanks for great service!
