Overall 5 stars and it was easy to give! The food was hot and delicious. The servers were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming! I had the small catfish plate, it was seasoned perfectly, and the hush puppies were fried crispy just like I like it, however I wasn’t a big fan of the coleslaw.. the slaw was grinded extra fine so it gave me an unfamiliar texture for coleslaw that I’m not used to.. if the slaw was chopped up like most coleslaw then the flavor was good, especially if you like sweet creamy coleslaw.. I just couldn’t get over the texture. Overall, you won’t be disappointed with your meal!

Awesome Seafood Platter. French fries melt in your mouth. Excellent cole slaw. Great hush puppies. Excellent service. Quiet and peaceful. Booths or tables, some picnic size tables for large groups. WIN WIN experience!

I love Kelly’s! It’s an old-time Southern fish house that reminds me of places my parents would take us when we were kids. It’s clean. The people there are great, and if you go away hungry, it’s your own fault!

Located on Hwy 74 (Dixon Blvd.), It’s a smallish place – 12 booths seating 4 around the perimeter of the dining room with rows of tables that accommodate larger parties – but their way of serving moves things along pretty quick.

You enter the room and order from a lady sitting at a table at the entrance. Then, you pay for the food at the cashier and get your number to which someone brings the drinks and food.

Yes, they had watermelon for sale, as well as single slices of cake and T-shirts. 3 flat screen TVs surround the room (all showing NASCAR while we were there) with Christian related art on the walls.

Catfish is what we came for and we got more than we bargained for. Normally, at least in this area, a “large” catfish is 3 fish, a regular is 2.

When ordering, you specify the size of the fish you want – small, medium or large – along with the quantity. We both went medium sized.

So our large order of medium-sized fish were 6 (six!) fish, plus hushpuppies, crinkle fries and slaw for $12.

When you taste the sweet tea and it’s made like a good Southern sweet tea should be made, there is hope on how this fish is going to taste. Man, this fish was outstanding! Breading was more of a flour and egg wash than cornmeal. Fish meat was flaky but firm.

In short, this is the best catfish I’ve had in this state since moving here 20 years ago.

Oh, and neither of his finished the plate. We await the leftovers tomorrow.

I typically grab kelly’s on Sunday Evenings my children enjoy the calabash chicken tenders, and my wife and I share a large flounder plate salt and peppered. Can’t say that I have had a complaint.

The food was excellent! A little pricey, about $15 for a combo plate (+$2 for boiled shrimp), but it’s more food than you can eat! You gotta get up and get your own refills which is fine really. They forgot our order of fried pickles (they were good btw) but we didn’t even notice because we were to busy with our fish

When I call in an order and you tell me to hurry up and get there because you close in fifteen minutes. I’m 2 minutes away and the parking lot is full. Also people were still going in and sitting down to eat, because your open until 8. I feel like it was very rude to tell me that. That just hit me wrong. Very unprofessional. And I have eaten here for many years. Thinking twice about that now.

Called in a order, the food wasn’t good at all. It was a HUGE headache to get help in replacing the food. At the end the resolve was to pay half price for ANOTHER meal instead replacing a meal that wasn’t eaten. I will not be returning to this place.
