In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We love Taco Bueno. We just went through the drive through. So much better than Taco Bell, and we wish we had them in TN, so we always stop at one for dinner/ lunch if there’s any on the way when we travel. The staff were really sweet to our kids and us.

Stopped here on our way through town. We were helped by Dee. She was amazing. The dining area was clean. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was clean. The food was perfect.

I enjoy the tacos especially when I have to remove the salsa from my taco wrapping because the salsa cup was not closed all the way. Fun times cleaning the mess.

This was my first visit and it was the most painful drive thru I have encountered in YEARS, the worker didn’t understand my order, even after many attempts & even turning my car off. Also, the drive thru time was very slow. It for sure wasn’t “fast food”.

Normally when you go into a fast food restaurant now days, you expect certain things 30 minutes before the lobby closes. You expect the workers to be rude and the food to be a little gross. We didn’t get that at all last night! Customer service was on point. Everyone was super friendly, they didn’t rush us to eat or act like it was a bother for us to be there. The food was fresh, tasted good and had a good presentation. It’s been so long since I’ve been somewhere that actually acted like they wanted us there and they didnt hate their job. Highly refreshing! I will be sure to stop by anytime I’m in the area from now on.
