We loved this place! Went for corned beef hash and it did not disappoint us. We will be back to try other menu items! Very casual diner feel.

I’ve visited this restaurant several times, and my overall rating would be a solid 4/5. Each visit has been enjoyable, with a few highlights and minor areas for improvement.

Parking:
Parking is street-based, but I’ve usually found a spot without much trouble. While this may vary depending on the time of day, it hasn’t been a significant inconvenience.

Wait Times:
The wait times are generally reasonable, especially when I visit after 11 a.m. I can’t speak to the experience earlier in the day, but later visits have been smooth and hassle-free.

Service:
The staff are friendly overall and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. On several occasions, they’ve gone above and beyond by offering pastries to-go when we’ve dined close to closing time—a thoughtful touch that’s much appreciated.

Food Quality:
The food has consistently been fresh and served quickly, which I value. Their chocolate chip pancakes are a standout item and a personal favorite. However, I do wish they offered flavored lattes in addition to flavored black coffee, as this would elevate the drink options.

Overall Experience:
This restaurant combines good service, fresh food, and a friendly vibe, making it a spot I would recommend to others. While there’s room for small enhancements—like expanding the drink menu—it remains a reliable choice for a satisfying meal.

This place is very much a major event! I recommend it to be on your bucket list! The food is excellent and delicious! Unusual, too, like banana bread French Toast! Pleasant homey atmosphere, too! We had a nice chat with a couple eating next to us, whom we had never met before. When we went to pay our waitress, we found out that they had already paid our bill! Great wait staff, great food, wonderful dining experience!!

I am a regular at Real Food Cafe on Eastern. I stopped going to my other breakfast spot which is blocks away from my house and started frequenting RF on the regular for the past maybe 4 years. My favorite thing about this place is how they treat me. The atmosphere and how personable the staff is, is my favorite thing. I walk in, everyone greets me by my name and brings my coffee without asking. I was having a hard day and decided to go for breakfast to get away. Abby greeted me before I was all the way inside the restaurant and I felt safe and wanted. Thank you for always acknowledging me and building rapport.

Amazing food, good service. That’s all it needs to be. Not sure why a term as pretentious sounding as ‘atmosphere’ needs to be used. Giving five stars because the expectations behind that particular word are dumb. Just ask if I enjoyed it, which I did.

Real Food has a nice homey feel to it, and has nice bright pastel colors adding to its diner feel. The staff is friendly and attentive, and prices aren’t too bad. I had the monster omelet during my visit and it was delicious. I could smell my raisin toast coming before I saw it, which was nice. This is my first visit to this location, but I’ve been to Real Food’s other locations in the past. It’s always been a great place to grab a bite to eat.

This was such a diamond in the rough to find. It’s nestled right next to a wonderful shop which is highly useful when you’re waiting to be seated. The place can only hold so many people and it was full when we arrived. We had about a 15 to 20 minutewait which went by rather quickly with the store next-door. We were seated by our waitress and she was pleasantly helpful and talkative. We felt right at home.

The interior seating area gives a bit of a retro feel with the seats and tables, reminding me of days gone past at my grandparents house. Even though the place was retro, it was very clean. There are two sides to the restaurant, one being an all table and seating area with the other, having booths and an old-fashioned countertop area.

Now the food, amazing! The pancakes were large, light and fluffy. The omelette was one of the best I have had in some time. The only downside was the biscuits and gravy were not very good. The biscuit was hard and the gravy was a bit salty for our taste.

Our order was $50 and it could’ve been better. Sausage and gravy wasn’t good. Then noticed my California Benedict was saturated, in that sauce that SHOULD be in a separate container. Like, come on… Not only that, English muffin wasn’t even toasted and it was spoiled. Didn’t eat NONE of it. You’ve got avocado with that California, why mix the two like that? It’s too much and should be customers dipping choice. Sauce was nasty anyways.
