I’ve had their seafood pancakes before and they were very delicious too. Usually come here for bbq galbi (which tastes great) but was craving something a hearty and warm meal
The staff seated me right away, treated me with dignity and made me feel welcome. This is a great family spot and a nice peaceful respite for grabbing authentic Korean food.
The food was FRESH and PLENTIFUL. It was also flavorful. I ordered the galbi at first, but it’s not available on Saturday for lunch. So instead I went with the beef bulgogi bowl recommended by the waiter, after I told them I wanted something beefy.
I plan to come back and become a regular.
Banchan (macaroni salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, radish, fish cake, & 1 other dish I didn’t try) arrived at the same time as the mains.
Unfortunately the bibimbap had no flavor. No salt, no garlic, etc. so had to ask for table salt. The spicy sauce was sweet with a tiny kick (definitely not gochujang or sriracha). The soy sauce (what I was told…?) was also sweet with a vinegar taste so not sure what that sauce actually was.
Did not try friend’s soondubu but they reported that it tasted a bit bland and watered down.
I like that the presentation and ingredients are fairly authentic to Korean food, so maybe tonight is just a once-off poor night for the flavors. Did not get a chance to try kbbq tonight. I plan to return and try other menu items that I had been eyeing
Some of our favorites were the bulgogi, which was super tender and full of flavor, and the galbi (Korean BBQ short ribs) — juicy and perfectly marinated. The bibimbap was comforting and packed with fresh veggies, the kimchi jjigae had just the right amount of spice, and the japchae was light, slightly sweet, and honestly hard to stop eating.
What really made the visit stand out was the service. Our server was very respectful, quick, and attentive without being overbearing. Drinks stayed full, food came out fast, and they made sure we had everything we needed. It made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for solid Korean food in Raleigh with great service to match, Seoul Garden is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back
They also served several traditional side dishes complimentary, which made the experience even more special.
Our host, Jean, was wonderful—very kind, attentive, and happy to guide us with great recommendations.
The food, service, and overall experience were excellent. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant!
From the moment we walked in, the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. They greeted us with a smile and made us feel comfortable right away. Throughout the entire meal, all of the servers were very attentive and professional. They consistently checked in on us, made sure everything was fresh and refilled, and were quick to respond whenever we needed anything.
I especially want to mention Gene and Martin. They both went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Their attentiveness and positive energy really stood out and made the experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about providing good service, and it shows.
Overall, the service was excellent from start to finish. It’s always meaningful to see a Korean restaurant run with such care and hospitality. I highly recommend Seoul Garden — I’ll definitely be coming back.
