We visited Fairgrounds Pizza & Pub in Cornish on a Sunday early afternoon and had a solid experience. The food was very good. We ordered pizza and crab cakes, and both hit the mark. The flavors were fresh and generous.
The service was friendly, fast, and professional. Even though we had no reservation, we waited about 30 minutes, which didn’t feel too bad given how busy it was. The staff handled the crowd well.
The place itself feels cozy and casual, with a pub atmosphere. It’s located on Maple Street, with a free parking lot. Worth to mention are the good portion size, the inventive and very tasty pizza toppings and the lively menu.
All in all, for a casual meal in Cornish, this spot delivers good food, pleasant service, and a fun local feel. I’d go back — especially to try more of their creative pizzas.

I have been wanting to go here for 3-4 years now. I finally made the 2 1/2 hour trip to try it out. The food was good but the dessert was even better!! The cannolis are to DIE for. Heather was absolutely amazing!!

Best fried Pickels anywhere and I legit order fried pickles anytime I see them on a menu. The pizzas are amazing. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!!! A++

Plenty of parking but definitely a busy lot. Indoor and outdoor seating in good weather. Service was decent. Food was good. My only complaint is that my drink was really strong (but some people like it that way). Definitely get the peanut butter pie for dessert!

We love this place & have enjoyed it dozens of times. We recently had scallops wrapped in bacon that we have had many times before, the taste was wonderful as usual, but we noticed the scallops were very small & previously they came on a bed of lettuce with sliced pepponcini, they looked a little lost in the dish. We also ordered a Ruben, the bread was grilled perfectly, but the corned beef was very chewy & not up to par. We enjoy fairgrounds & will be back soon.

This was a terrible visit. Waited 30+ minutes for our food. $27.99 for salmon with rice. I got served this. After serving my salmon on a plate by itself I got charged for my side that arrived after finishing the salmon. Additionally, $53.99 for a fisherman’s platter that consisted of frozen seafood with one small tartar sauce.
We were not checked in on. Ran out of water before my food arrived and never got a replacement. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for the quality. Save your money.

The atmosphere of here is nice but it is very noisy, so it was hard to talk to one another and to the servers. We came as a large group, and that kinda felt like a bad idea immediately. The food was really good as were our drinks.

Good food. Fresh chicken parm and meatballs. Long wait, but probably due to very good food and we had a large party. Spent time in the bar until it was ready. Such good food. Rum bucket was so yummy. No complaints from us at all.

The pizza here is very good with creative toppings. I get pizza here for my work peeps and I love the guy at the takeout window. Thank you for carrying the pizzas to my car in the rain and organizing them so they didn’t slide in transit. We love the pickle pizza and the Big Mac along with crab Rangoon pizza. My husband is big fan of your cheese burger. I’ve had the lasagna which is a lot like mine. The service here is ays spectacular!

Don’t get the roast beef even though it sounds like it’s made correctly it’s unfortunately not a north shore style beef even with the James river. Some day someone will get it correct. 22$ sandwich with fries.
