Sometimes great, others not so much…..

Charles Hearn’s review has been my experience on more than one occasion Parry’s. When they do it right (conscientiously), its very good. In particular they have really good sauce. I worked in the Pizza industry for many years and like to think I can appreciate a well executed pizza.

We go to Parry’s because we always need a gluten free pizza in our group, and we think they do a good job with that.

However, too many times our pizzas simply look cheap. Very little toppings (and I know that you can have too many toppings), and sloppy assembly. Large gloopy areas of sauce in some spots and others with hardly a drop. Cheese that is spread sporadically, and as Charles noted the few toppings that are put on don’t even start until you are an inch and a half away from the crust. If I wanted mostly dough, I would go to Beaujos.

Although we have ordered here numerous times, this will be the last for a while. It’s awkward to call and order on the phone and say “can you please put toppings on the pizza all the way to the crust.

I Will try again in a few months. Photos of best and worst slices attached. The second photo is a slice of a half and half pie that belonged to the side with more toppings

My mom and I ate here twice. The waitress was super friendly and the food was good. We had pizza both times. The personal size. It can get a bit expensive when you start adding toppings but the specials make up for that if you aren’t picky. I enjoyed the lunch special which included the side house salad. We also received free garlic balls the first time which was nice and tried the cheesecake the second time. Which was yummy.

Service, food and atmosphere were excellent. Not too loud that you couldn’t have conversation. Very flavorful, tasty food. Noah hit all the marks for an exceptional server. Suggested options, offered a free new customer appetizers. Checked back enough. Pre- bussed and manicured the table during the meal. Check was presented quickly AFTER all the plates were cleared. Top notch. We will return.

This was our first visit and we will be back. We appreciated the call ahead waitlist. The upstairs views create a nice atmosphere. The food was flavorful and hot (can’t stand when food is just warm). We had a cesar salad, pizza, and a kids cheeseburger. It did take a bit to get our check since they started to get busy but overall a good experience.

I might be being a little too harsh but this is what happened. We ordered an appetizer and some drinks. The drinks took 15 minutes to get to us. Then for the food it took 40 minutes…now I would be more understanding if it was packed but it wasn’t. Food came out finally and they had forgot my daughter’s food..took another 5 minutes… food was alright, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t awful. Just nothing I’d go out of my way for. The pizza however is pretty good. I don’t know what it is but this is my usual experience at every Perry’s I go to, even if I order the food online they usually mess up my order.

Now the view is amazing, it almost makes up for everything else. Almost..

NOT New York pizza. Please people, for the love of god, stop calling yourself NYC pizza if you’re not. My wife and I have lived in NYC & NJ for 51 years combined, and this pizza…just sucks. It’s like Papa John’s. They try to talk a big New York game with the names on the menu. But the food can’t hold its own. The sauce is pitifully weak, the cheese is rubbery and cheap, and the crust misses the mark entirely.. doughy and flavorless.

I’d be a little more forgiving of this place didn’t play up that it’s “New York Pizza” so hard.

For good pizza that’s closer to home, try Fat Sully’s downtown on Tejon.

For a pizzeria, I thought the pizza was going to be the thing to get. It is not. Let me repeat, do not get the pizza. You’d be better off saving your money and going to Little Caesars than ordering this pizza. The crust is thin, which would be good, if it wasn’t stale like it was microwaved for too long. There’s no sauce, like at all. Like this pizza was driven by a sauce factory and they call that good enough. There’s barely any cheese. And you are lucky to get a topping every other bite. Like how in the world do they charge $20+ for a pizza with less than $1 of toppings and sauce?

We also got the up town mozzarella (aka cheese sticks) for $10 for 4. That’s $2.50 each. After one bite, it was obvious that it was just the breading. Maybe 5 bites per stick and one of those bites would have cheese.

Prior to tonight’s order, I had gotten the chicken caesar wrap, which was delicious! So flavorful, so fresh, literally no complaints.

Also got a small order of parmesan bites, which are the real star of the show. This is where I got the false impression that the pizza was going to be good. Those bits are supposed to be made of the same pizza dough, which there is no resemblance at all.

Moral of the story, some of the food is good, all the pizza is bad.

My husband and I come here every single weekend and a huge reason why we keep coming back is Miranda.

She is hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. She’s funny, attentive, remembers our usual order, and makes us feel welcome from the minute walk in the front doors. It’s rare to find someone who can do this.

We have plenty of places we could go, but we choose this one because of the environment she provides. The food and beer will have you here once, but if you’re lucky enough to have Miranda as your server, you’ll come in time and time again!

Went in on a Friday and it was crazy in there. We found a seat at the bar and were taken care of by Megan. Hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had. She made us feel welcome and indulged us in trying to find the perfect beer.

Will literally be back for her if nothing else

Haley was our bartender and was super knowledgeable, friendly and all around amazing. I had the cheesy flatbread and a non-alcoholic beer while my friend has the small cheese pizza and alcoholic beer. Both food items were stellar – especially the crispy cheesey bread. Hopefully spelling your name correctly, Haley, as you made this reunion with my friend memorable. Thank you!
