I stopped by Century Bar on a cold Tuesday night while in Dayton and had a great experience. I was just looking for a good bourbon and ended up with even better conversation.
Nate and Grace were both easy to talk to and made the place feel welcoming right away. I really enjoyed talking with Nate about the history of Century Bar, the origin, and how they expanded locations in the 2020s. With Grace, it was fun hearing about her growing appreciation for bourbon and learning alongside her.
As a traveler, it’s always nice to walk into a spot where you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely welcomed. This felt like one of those places. Looking forward to stopping back in and continuing the conversations next time I’m in the city.

What a delightful evening! Molly was so helpful with information about the drinks and creates wonderful cocktails as well. A wonderful Dayton experience with a bar that shouldn’t be missed!

It’s a beautiful bar but they have terrible customer service. The bartenders act like you are a burden to them. They do not acknowledge you at all. It would have been nice or good customer service to even get a “we will be right with you”. They come across super arrogant. This is the second time we had this type of service since the new take over with management or ownership not sure which one happened but and I’m not sure we will be back. Very disappointing. We really enjoyed going to this bar with our friends when we would pass through Dayton. We had one drink and left.

Had a fantastic time at the century bar! Atmosphere was sensual and inviting. Initially was indecisive of what to drink, but Molly and Grace came up with the perfect mixture. Great vibes. Definitely would recommend the paper airplane cocktail.

1st time going yesterday, and the bartenders were amazing and knowledgeable. They have a huge selection of bourbon/whiskey and will most definitely be coming back in near future

We attended bourbon and blush last night. The charge was $60 per person which allowed you two cocktails and access to some charcuterie. I understand what they were trying to go for, and I think it was a best effort. But afterwards the cost of $120 for two drinks and some cheese and olives felt very expensive and underwhelming. I would have rather paid for my cocktails outright and skipped the extras. I think they will need to rework the pricing or the offerings to make an event like this feel worth it. The staff were kind and efficient.

The longer I stayed, the more I realized there’s a lot of room for improvement for this place
Extensive whiskey selection & great options for cocktails. The feel is definitely going for upscale cocktail bar. Sadly, the service doesn’t match. The bartender might have thought that he personality was upscale, but it was actually rude.
The liquor store also sells whiskey so maybe skip this spot

Good bar, that lacks any level of commitment to service. Bartenders are talented but obviously not paying attention at all times and seem to be less than enthusiastic to make something that matches someone’s tastes. Good for bourbon/whiskey lovers but probably not a place for folks who want more care or attention to the drinks they are drinking. Not the best bar in Dayton by a wide margin.

Largest selection and menu around. Our party enjoyed: Whiskey Sour, Weller 100 Proof Traveler, Old Fashioned w/ house bourbon, and the Babysitter!
Staff is very friendly and interactive. I cannot remember our favorites name, but she said she pushes her cats around town in a stroller lol, she was awesome, great sense of humor!
