Ammons’ is a classic curb service diner with a twist! They serve delicious Southern food like BBQ, corn dogs and veggie plates! This visit I had a veggie plate that was lip smackin’ good and my guest had a corn dog! Simple, tasty, friendly! I’ll take it any day– and on a day with good weather I’ll take it curbside!

The variety of food this restaurant offers is remarkable. I tried the super cheese burger with okra, fries, baked beans, and a chili slaw dog. Everything was very good. I’ll be back soon for sure.

I was interested in going here because it looked like a classic kind of place. We had to run to the bank to get some cash, because they do not take cards, but it was no issue. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, and the service was quick and fast, although a little inattentive. My boyfriend got the all-you-can-eat salad, and I got a plain hot dog, a pimento cheeseburger with lettuce, and a regular side of french fries. I thought that the prices were very reasonable for the food, and the salad bar was affordable and had a good variety while being clean. I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was delicious, and I would love to try more of their menu.

This is a very popular place. The waitress was very polite and attentive.But, the meals are suitable to fill your empty spot and I generally walk away with a nice case of indigestion. If you just want some good greasy grub, this is the place to go.

Each day had a different lunch special. We had turkey&dressing, cranberry cup, bread, and many choices to choose for your 2 sides for $11+. DELICIOUS! We also ordered a hamburger and slice of pecan pie too go for later. Price was excellent and was very filling. Can’t wait to go back and try other items from the menu! Great home cooking!

This place is awful. Even my 12 year old hated it and he will eat anything. The food is like they just opened Sysco cans and warmed it up. Our server was very nice, but she was overwhelmed and stressed out. We didn’t get several items that we ordered. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business for years, I know that some days are tough so I wasnt going to make any fuss over it, but when I went to pay, I had to tell the cashier so that she didn’t charge me. The cashier and waitress both made a big deal of it and I had to interrupt them to tell them that it was no big deal and not to worry. The kitchen area is crazy. They have so many people working back there, but if they just had competent staff, they wouldn’t need so many people and they wouldn’t be walking all over each other. It was chaos and they weren’t even busy. They have pictures on the walls that look like they were bought at walmart in the 90’s. They are faded from the sunlight and they all have a greenish tint. Weird place. I know its supposed to have that hometown diner feel, but its a miss. Won’t be going back.

Cozy restaurant with Friendly and efficient service. Not a big menu and the vegetables had no seasoning. Corn bread and coleslaw were really good and the best things I ate. Restroom was clean and stocked.

Menu says thick cut bologna which turned out to be extremely thin with texas toast thick bread. Although the price was great the sandwich was not. One slice of cheese on a grilled cheese also.
