The employee who rang up our bill overstepped. She added a $29.99 tip on her own. She asked me to sign the receipt, and I didn’t notice the tip section. Before I could ask about it, she clicked “Save.” She said she would come back with a copy, but we only found out the tip amount because we went back and asked. We were planning to leave an 18% tip, but it was upsetting that she decided the tip amount herself.
She also decided my wife wouldn’t be able to handle pico de gallo and removed it from the meal without asking. I asked if they had a caffeine-free Coke, and she responded to another employee, “Of course it has caffeine,” but the way she said it felt condescending—both to me and to the other employee. When my sister asked for the restroom, the employee gave her a look that felt judgmental, to say the least.
However, this was my personal experience and may not be yours, so please don’t base your decision only on my review. The food was very enjoyable, and that’s why I went there.

I had the signature Chilli rellano and it was amazing. Such a flavor explosion. I’ve eaten here a few times and all the dishes have been great! I waited a long time to be brought my desert but I had the cream cheese chimichanga and it was amazing as well.

It was pricey but pretty good. Hubby got the mango enchilada that was featured on the Diners, drive-thru and dives show. I got the chicken fajitas and we each got a coke. It came to $70 with the 20% tip. I thought the chicken would be a little more flavored. Our local Mexican restaurant back home had more flavor. No complimentary chips or salsa. In fact, it was $10 if you wanted them too.

Absolutely incredible pozole! I found Antonio’s thanks to ChatGPT while road-tripping through Santa Fe, and it did not disappoint. This was easily one of the top 3 pozoles I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The red chile chicken version tasted unbelievably fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of rich flavor. The homemade tortillas were out of this world—thick, warm, and perfect for soaking up every drop. 20/10.

Stopped in for a late lunch, on the recommendation of our rafting guide. It was delicious! I had a special and my hubby had a burrito. Service was great!

We had the chile relleno en nogada and pozole. Overall food was good but not stand out (to me). Service was amazing.
It was my first time having chile relleno en nogada, so I can’t properly rate it… but it was quite good. It was a heavy meal and I’d only recommend it if you appreciate meat with fruit and cinammony flavors, because that’s what this dish mostly is. Sherry cream sauce was flavorful and the pomegranate seeds gave nice balance to everything. I liked it, but would not seek it out. But again, I am generally unfamiliar with this dish.
Pozole was a huge portion and nice and warming.
Waiter gave me lots of spicy sauce to add to my meal. He was lovely to all guests in the restaurant and had a lot of heart.

We had dinner here. Being from Texas, we are used to having chips and salsa brought to our table, gratis, so we were surprised to find out that one basket of chips and salsa was $8+. The food was good, although I was surprised by the amount of raw onions inside my enchiladas. We are I side. It was raining, so no one was seated in the patio area that looked lovely. They have gluten free choices.

My family was so excited to try this place tonight on Christmas Day. We came in our family of 11 after skiing (mine and my brothers family’s) they acted like they didn’t want to seat us from the beginning. Very rude from the minute we walked in. My 7 yr daughter got up to come speak to me about her order and the OWNER came over and moved her seat, made her fall out of the seat and then told her not get up again. My nephew also 7 got up from his seat and was told not to get up by the owner again. The waitress told my SIL he could get up to go to the restroom but not get up. I understand it’s a small place. To give them service on Christmas Day and be treated the way were. We were not all given drinks, we had to ask for several drinks and refills. The water is warm tap water from dirty old bottles. I guess it’s supposed to be a nice place because Guy from diners, drive in’s and dives has been there. I would never recommend this place to anyone coming to Taos. I’m not one ever make any kind of review bad or good. But when the owner of a restaurant comes and moves my child’s seat with her in it and makes her fall out her seat and makes cry because she embarrassed her I will not accept that to be a generous restaurant. Do not waste your money or time. After our $360 ticket plus the $60 tip they still did not say thank you goodbye nothing. But that’s ok. This Texas family will NOT be back! MERRY CHRISTMAS Antonio’s <3
