OHH MAAAA GAWWWD
San Miguel’s in Baldwinsville for THE WIN. You don’t feel rushed at all. This dining experience has been amazing, I’m writing this mid-meal haven’t even gotten to dessert. These margaritas are insanely ✨fantastic✨ and these Birria tacos whewwww don’t get me started. Packed full of flavor I can’t finish it! OH and the chicken taquito appetizer MMM MMMMM MMMMMM delicious. I never knew this spot existed! OH and waterfront dining ?! I’m in ALL THE WAY!
OH AND DRINKS TOGO?
This place is truly a gem!

The best thing I can say about San Miguel is that the service and atmosphere were decent. Nothing exceptional, but I have no complaints there. The food, on the other hand, was just plain bad and this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a while. The chips and salsa came out promptly after we sat down and this was the high point of the meal, although the salsa wasn’t anything special. The house margarita was an odd neon green, too sweet and had a distinctly chemical taste, in addition to being far too strong. The menu advertises that they use a homemade mix that’s made fresh daily and whether this is true or not is bad for different reasons. If it’s not true, then it’s a lie and that’s bad, in addition to it being the worst commercial mix I’ve ever tasted. If it’s truly homemade, then it’s almost worse because of how bad it is, and they should just find a decent commercial mix. The coctel de camarones had far too much liquid for far too little solid contents compared to other versions of this dish I’ve had elsewhere. In fact, I was hard pressed to identify any solid contents beyond the shrimp and a few bits of cilantro. For a main I had the burritos rancheros, which was definitely the low point of the meal. On the menu the ingredients include chicken, cheese, ranchero sauce, pico, rice, beans and guac salad. No mention is made of what may or may not come on the side, so I think a reasonable assumption is that most or all of those things are part of the burrito. What came out were two tortillas containing a few chunks of grilled chicken breast each and nothing else, covered in sauce with a tiny amount of melted cheese on the sauce. Everything else came on the side. Those are not burritos. To make matters much worse, the whole dish was extremely salty. The dish of the person I dined with was also extremely salty. Overall, it seemed like the food and drinks were made with no effort or care. It would have been a bad deal at half the price.

San Miguel is one of a kind! Not all Mexican is alike. The flavors, portions, staff & environment is always a vibe. Especially, the chips & salsa, my favorite. The owner does a fabulous job keeping it lively with bands, weekly trivia, specials & holiday treats. I definitely been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in Baldwinsville & Syracuse and no one does what they do. Keep the momentum San Miguel! You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!

San Miguel Mexican Bar & Grill was great! Was there on a Friday night with a party of 4 and we nabbed a reservation for 615pm. That may not have been completely necessary but it was busy and it never hurts to have one.
The location of the restaurant may be tricky if you aren’t familiar with Baldwinsville. There is a fairly spacious lot in the middle of The Bville diner, the dollar general and San Miguel for reference. And San Miguel itself from the parking lot goes down a ramp or stairs to the entrance of the restaurant.
The restaurant itself stays true to the form of all the iterations that came before it, a good sized space with ample seating and in warmer weather there is some seating outside by the river. The booth we sat at had an unfortunate feature of being right under the heating and air conditioning and we were going from hot to cold depending on the heat going on and off. If you enter and go left and straight back to the corner, you may want to avoid that table until that can be adjusted.
Most importantly the food and service were both incredible! Our server was fantastic and she took great care of us during a busy evening there. All the food was delicious and there were happy tummies all around. The jalapeno poppers were some of the best I’ve ever had. The main courses everyone either finished every bite or made sure to take the rest home. We all ordered our own dessert and again 4 happy sets of taste buds. If you can’t tell what I’m getting at, it’s that you won’t be disappointed with whatever you get. Best Mexican ever, that’s for you to decide, absolutely delicious, it definitely was.
I highly recommend San Miguel and when you go, I of course, hope you enjoy!!

San Miguel has authentic Mexican cuisine topped with great service and presentation. They are located on the river so the outdoor seating is refreshing. Its such a hard thing to find but they have it.
Kelly, the owner (I believe) was our server. She was super amazing and served up some great laughs at our table. She handled complaints about the wait with ease and grace. A few guys were very mean to her and she remained very professional. They are very busy so I would recommend reservations for dinner otherwise expect a wait.
The dip we had was very delicious and even my children liked it. They hate everything. Portion sizes are huge so be prepared.

Been twice now and will definitely go again. Went for an early Sunday appetizer / drink date with my best girlfriend and we enjoyed some sangria which was served chilled and a house margarita with the perfect amount of salt. We then shared the nachos and chicken toquitos and they were both delicious. Amazing guacamole and fresh chips. For dessert, we shared a warm banana wrapped in a tortilla with cinnamon sugar and it was served with a side of hot fudge and caramel. It’s worth going just for that dish.

This is an awesome place to go on a nice day. You are right on the water. We saw Blue herons and boaters. The burrito was very good, salsa is excellent and plentiful. My wife loves her veggies and she enjoyed the veggie fajitas. The Diablo shrimp was hot but tasty

I have no idea what these people are saying about authentic Mexican the guacamole is the kind you buy in those little plastic cups they chucked a little bit of onions and tomatoes in . The rice was clumped the peas in it were not even cooked . The meat was good both steak and chicken good flavor but the tortilla and mix of ingredients didn’t taste authentic at all . My husbands is Hispanic and we were both rolling our eyes at points . Maybe we came at a bad time . The whole staff are teenagers but they were all friendly and brought a good youthful vibe.good location overall if I still lived in the area I would probably come back since there isn’t really another sit down location in Baldwinville .

Great place with excellent food. Great view of the river. It was rainy the day we went but this would be an incredible place to sit outside in the summer, drink margaritas and snack on delicious Mexican food. Speaking of margaritas, they are huge. We got the 50 oz and those weren’t the biggest. The menu is extensive and the service was great. We had a new server and she was friendly and accommodating. The hostess greeted us with a smile. No complaints. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
