I was at the Rousses on Drusilla in Baton Rouge looking for a king cake. I found this amazing king cake that I didn’t recognize and thought I would share it with my coworkers. OMG!!! BEST KING CAKE EVER!!! it was pecan praline fried doughnut and simply amazing.

My husband and I visited the O’Reillys and asked them a good place to eat in town and they sent us to Joe’s! We are from Texas and was driving back to Gonzales from taking an airboat tour and we were hungry!! Food was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband got the JoJo special and we shared the Joe’s swamp fries and we at every bike! The swamp fries we ordered the sauce on the side and the fish had such a good breading on it, and the food was fresh right out of the kitchen!! The sauce was AMAZING they sell it by the package to take it with you!! I plan to go back because we did not try any of the beignets or pastries, they all looked amazing though and will be trying them SOON! It will be worth the drive and the husband and wife that works there at the Metairie location where as sweet as can be! Very helpful, very friendly and made us feel welcomed and right at home! Service was excellent, we were well taken care of! Thank you again for the wonderful meal and experience!

Best donuts!! I haven’t had any of the plate meals, but some of the patrons were telling out of towners how good the food is. I went on Lundi Gras morning so it was really busy but had a good vibe going on. Nobody was fussing or super impatient. The staff worked their butts off. I’ll definitely be going back.

When I realized how far a drive it was going to be from my hotel at the airport I didn’t know if it was gonna be worth it as I was tired after a long day of travel and work, but I always try local spots. The service was fantastic, super friendly and great conversation. I was the only one in the dine in, although several people came and bought donuts while I was there. I had red beans and rice along with fish, which was delicious! Had beignets for dessert, which were also delicious. Would definitely go back!

This place was quite the pleasant surprise. A coworker of mine brought in some donuts and I saw the locations on the box. I noticed there was one located in Metairie so my girlfriend and I stopped in and noticed a very appealing diner style menu on the wall. We sat down and ordered. I went with the shrimp and grits and she went with the classic burger. Everything was very good and fresh. Oh and had to leave with a couple donuts as well. Those

The food is good and the staff is nice! The problem is they have the waitresses serving dine in customers, handling donut to go customers and door dash orders. They were so busy the staff couldn’t help any customer very well, because they had to bounce back and forth between tasks. The dine in area was full and they had a line of 10-15 people waiting for donuts the whole time we were there and people were getting really frustrated with wait times. Honestly they should shut down door dash orders during their busiest times, especially Sunday mornings. I’m sure the owners would be far too greedy to do that though.

This is a great breakfast place with really good donuts. I really enjoy the breakfast quesadilla. They also have good coffee. We also tried the deep fried king cake. It’s tastes like a big donut with really sweet icing.

Great place to get single slice or whole King Cakes. Several varieties available in three sizes. Donuts as big as your head made straight from the heart. Careful getting in and out of traffic. Couple video machines available. Highly recommend! Stopped back for a late night dinner and it was spectacular!! Got a King Cake for the ride home!!
