Food was good, not great. Would have liked some healthier options, even though it’s bar food. Don’t come at me, I just wanted something that wasn’t so heavy…an egg white sandwich, avocado toast…something along those lines. The chicken biscuit was good, just very heavy and greasy. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Crinkle fries also had good flavor, but didn’t really want all the grease. Atmosphere is 10/10. Turf floor, comfy pads on grandma’s vintage chairs, big screen tvs that are easy to view, lively crowd, but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation! Service was excellent. Very attentive to water glass fill ups and other drinks. Dog friendly, and all of them were well behaved. I wanted to pet several of them! Great concept for a local hangout. We thoroughly enjoyed watching an early college football game on a Saturday.

This Backyard location is a little hard to find. Not a lot of parking ans always packed. We went for happy hour and we had a long wait.

We ordered a margarita and a whisky sour. The whisky sour was watered down quite a bit BUT the margarita was delicious! I would highly recommend the margarita for happy hour!!

For the food… We also ordered the happy hour. We loved the nachos but they charged over $5 extra to add “protein”. There was barely enough “protein” for the charge we got. I have several pictures ans a video to prove it. We also got the Korean BBQ and it was good but it was way too much money for only 4 wings. We couldn’t believe the bill when we got it.. A totally surprise of how expensive and chargers for extra stuff were. on a Happy Hour advertisement local for Phoenix it had advertised that all starters/ appetizers were for the happy hour prices. Once we sat down we saw a card on the table that only had a few starters/ appetizers for the happy hour. We were alittle disappointed.
Time was limited for us so we didn’t want to tell our waitress.

The environment is super loud and kids were in fact running everywhere. One of the kids had bumped my drink causing it spill on my table. I tried looking around to see if there parents were around. None that I could see near by. As I watching the outside the same kids were outside by themselves. I was concerned. I feel like the restaurant should have a stricken policy on kids being with their parents at all times for their safety.

Sasha was incredible! She was attentive and kind, and so flexible with alterations we made to our menu orders. She really made the experience wonderful for our family of four. 🙂 We loved the Christmas cocktails, especially the apple cider margarita, and the beer list is especially delightful. We loved the bitterness rating added onto the beer menu—very clever! This was a fantastic brunch experience. Thanks Sasha and the whole crew at Backyard for a great Sunday brunch!

Such a fun spot and all decorated for the holidays!! Kid friendly, group friendly, dog friendly! We had it all. There’s a ton of great outdoor/indoor space with roll up walls/doors. Tons of tvs. Great spot for a football Sunday or just a night out. Service was above and beyond. Never had to look for our server even for a refill once. The turkey melt had brie and is to die for. We shared the dry rub sticky ribs and I’d definitely recommend trying

This was our first stop on our trip to Arizona. We were arriving on a Sunday and wanted the coolest spot possible to watch the Detroit Lions. There seemed to be fans there from every NFL team which made it quite the awesome atmosphere. We had the carne asada nachos which were very good. Our waitress was on point, even had the bartender make us a custom Honolulu Blue shot to celebrate the Lions win over the Commanders. I would recommend this place for any fan of sports. If this were located near me, I’d be there every Sunday.

Additional bonus of dogs being there, which enhanced the visit!

Christmas lunch with my grandson. Our waitress, Taylor, was so awesome. She helped set up the corn hole for us, and let us know when our food was ready, and then took some amazing photos, for me. The food was so good, and we had a great time.

Some of our best times have been spent at The Backyard. Great vibe all around and the best place to watch any sporting event. Over the top dog friendly! They even gave me a free engraving of my dog’s name last time I brought him. Staff is really on top of it and the food is some of the most delish in the area (try the sticky ribs & nachos)!
Ask for Tiana -she’s amazing! An instant friend/connection ❤️

Just had lunch at The Backyard Desert Ridge and I’m pretty sure I accidentally discovered my new favorite spot in Phoenix.

First off, the food was ridiculously good. The kind of good where you take a bite, stop mid-conversation, and everyone at the table just nods silently like “yeah… this place is legit.” Everything came out fast, hot, and delicious.

But the real MVP of the night was our waitress Holly. If there were an Olympic sport for being an amazing server, she’d be taking home the gold, silver, and probably the bronze too.

Holly was:
• Super friendly
• On top of everything before we even had to ask
• Somehow refilling drinks like a ninja we never saw coming
• And funny enough that we were half tempted to invite her to sit down and join us

At one point I’m pretty sure she read our minds because right when we started thinking “another round sounds good,” she was already walking up with the menu like a hospitality psychic.

Between the great food, awesome atmosphere, and Holly basically running the smoothest table service known to mankind, the whole experience was a 10/10.

If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for Holly. Just be warned… she might set the bar so high that every other server in the future feels like a disappointment

Fun place to be in. Priced well. Three meals had chicken which was really dry. Fourth meal was beef. Really tender. We will try again sometime.

Good, service, and vibes here were great.
I got the bbq aioli burger and it was fantastic! I loved that they put it on the side too for more – it was addictive.
Live band too!
I really appreciated the service. I am celiac and our waitress went above and beyond to make sure I had a safe meal. Gluten free burger bun and separate fryer for the French fries. My waitress assured me the bun would be handled separately from gluten-containing buns.
Oh – and the frozen prickly pear margarita? I’ll come back again and again for that too!
