I called back and just kind of jokingly said, “Normally I wouldn’t call about this, but I’m super passionate about ranch. (I love ranch) I placed an order and just picked it up. I ordered a small pizza and a side salad. I had asked for two ranches and I got a different dressing with ranch. I’m not saying this because I want you to give me anything and I won’t be coming back but just telling you so maybe you’ll be a little more careful for the next guy!”
He didn’t even respond and just hung up…
My Dad and I have been coming to this Rosati’s for years (maybe about 10 years I’m thinking) and I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience until Dakota and some other employee closing tonight. 1/2/25 at 8:30pm~
Upside side is the pizza is pretty yummy and so is my salad. Just would have been better with more ranch that I paid .75¢ for lol…
The staff now is strange. They used to have very good staff. I always order the pizza to be cooked well done and it usually is not. It’s either normal or undercooked.
One time I was asked literally “is this done enough or what?” while showing me the pizza. I am glad they asked but what an aggressive way to do it.
The main issue that really bothered me recently was when it took over an hour to get a single pizza for carry out. I arrived a bit early. They said 20 minutes. I came back 30 minutes later, they said another 20 minutes. It ended up being about 80 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I carried it out. I received an apology but I felt like it was kind of a shrug off to a long time customer.
My guess is they kept forgetting my order.
The other issue is the delivery driver they have. He loudly gossips and swears about other employees in or around the lobby. Quite an unprofessional environment.
I spent $60 here for my son’s birthday, and it was a waste of money. The food came out late, the sausage had a strange taste, and the pizza itself was bland, greasy, and slapped together without care. My son wouldn’t even eat it. Imagine paying that much for a birthday dinner and ending up embarrassed by the quality.
But honestly, the food isn’t the only problem. The culture inside these restaurants feels off. The staff look overworked and unhappy, and the whole atmosphere is uninviting. When the people making and serving the food clearly aren’t enjoying their jobs, it shows in the quality of the product and the service. That’s not okay — customers shouldn’t walk into a restaurant and feel the weight of that kind of environment.
The bigger issue is ownership. These restaurants are clearly being run without pride, consistency, or accountability. It feels like the Rosati’s name is being used as a shortcut while the actual quality and customer experience are ignored.
If the owners aren’t willing to invest in raising the bar, then maybe corporate needs to step in — because customers deserve better. At these prices, the food and service should be reliable and worth the money, not hit-or-miss at best and inedible at worst.
After giving Rosati’s in Arizona more than three tries, I won’t be returning. Save your money and go somewhere else — because nothing about these locations feels like a restaurant that values its customers. At this point, calling it “Chicago-style” pizza is an insult to Chicago
They also have the best mozzarella sticks we’ve ever had, and the meatball sandwiches (three meatballs) are great. Highly recommend
