A lovely and popular spot that sells Americana standards with the common mix of sandwiches, burgers, and unique in between. The popularity is warranted, as the service is good, the food was a cut above expected. My burger was simple but delicious, the portions were better than expected. Parking was luck, it can be a bit tricky on a popular Friday night.

Great review of Bucks Tavern. Food was good and plentiful. Husband had Italian Beef and cup of chili. The chili had some kick to it. Lots of flavor. I had the Buck Club Sandwich. Comes with a honey mustard dressing instead of mayo. Gave it a little extra flavor too. Lots of krinkle fries. We brought a box of food home with us. Bill was $45 including 2 iced teas. They have a full bar with specialty cocktails and beer specials. they carry Coke products. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Could have been sat earlier at a high top table but we don;t prefer those. Will go again to try some other things on the menu.

I went here for the first time recently with some family and was quite impressed! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the food was fantastic. We all got different things and enjoyed our respective meals very much – I got the fish tacos, which were on point, and the spinach and artichoke dip was delicious too.

This was our first time stopping in here and glad we gave it a try. It was a Sunday afternoon and they had several different NFL games on the various tv’s and were happy to tune in Da Bears gave on one of them for us. The service was great and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. I ordered an Italian beef and let me tell you, it was delicious and as good as any you can get in Chicagoland. The guy next to me asked what it was and said he’d never had one before so he ended up ordering one as well and he was very happy he did. The beer on draft was ice cold which is another plus. My wife tried a pot roast sandwich and fries which she really liked also. The fries were crispy and good. Bottom line, we will definitely eat here again.

Arrived at 3:30 for some drinks. The bartender Mike was quick to get us our drinks and an appetizer. At 4:45 I ordered dinner. At 5:15 I asked if he put the order in. He said yes. Never did he follow up. He was too busy serving his “regulars”. At 5:30 , 45 minutes after I ordered food I asked to cash out since we had not received any food. Did he check on our food, again NO! Again, too busy serving his “regulars”. When I cashed out he never said a word. I will never be back. If you’re not a “regular” stay away!!

Get there early or have patience because it’s popular for a reason. Food is great. Ive had the burgers, salads, apps, sandwiches and chili. All really good. Dimly lit which makes a nice cozy atmosphere. I hope they expand in that space someday.

Got in. Got Seated seated quickly. Placed out orders, and our food was brought out in a timely manner. Burgers tasted great, and my wife enjoyed her salad. The fries were really good too!

I’d say our experience overall was 3.5. The wait to be seated Friday at approx 5:15 was 1 hour wait when we went. We finally gave up and snagged a bar seat as we were hungry. The food came out pretty fast at the bar so it worked for us.
The nachos were good and super large portion. The salsa tasted really fresh & delicious.
The chicken wrap I asked for iceburg but got romaine and I’m kinda picky about lettuce in a wrap so I wasn’t a fan. The chicken was a little dry too even though it looked saucy. The person I ate with said the smoked Gouda salad was fine but barely any Gouda and all lettuce. The cornbread was good.
The Mac n cheese in other reviews said it was good. I was told the recipe recently changed by another diner after I ordered who said it wasn’t good anymore. When I got it, I agreed with her. It was crunchy and had barely any flavor.
The prices felt steep but I’d return for the nachos for sure & try other things.
