After a long and stressful day at Palisades Mall — with fire alarms blaring and a movie we couldn’t even finish — my girlfriend and I were hoping for a pleasant way to end our evening. What we got at Outback Steakhouse in Monroe far exceeded our expectations and completely turned our day around!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly relaxing. But what really stood out was our server (I wish I remembered her name!). I happened to overhear that it was only her third day on the job, and honestly, I was blown away. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and generous — one of the best servers I’ve ever had, especially at a chain restaurant in Monroe. Her professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for our experience completely made the night feel special. Honestly, you are going places, ma’am!
Now let’s talk about the food, because wow — it was absolutely phenomenal. This was my first time at an Outback, and I have to say, my expectations weren’t super high because I’ve been to plenty of steakhouses. But Monroe’s Outback completely raised the bar for what a chain restaurant can be. Every dish was cooked perfectly, from our entrees to even the bread, which was fresh, warm, and delicious. The flavors were rich, the presentation was beautiful, and it all came together for a truly memorable meal.
The overall experience was just outstanding. Great food, impeccable service, and a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere make this Outback a go-to spot in Monroe for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. My girlfriend and I left completely satisfied, smiling, and already planning our next visit.
If you’re looking for a place that combines amazing food, top-notch service, and quality in every bite, look no further. This Outback Steakhouse is the real deal. I cannot recommend it enough!

Our visit to this Outback Steakhouse in Monroe, NY, was a complete disaster. We had been avoiding this location for the past four years due to previous terrible experiences. On October 24th, 2025, we decided to give it another chance.
As we walked in, we were surprised to find the bar and dining area empty at 3:00 PM on a Friday. The young lady who seated us seemed bothered, and the rest of the staff appeared equally disinterested. We sat down and got our menus, only to notice that the table was crammed with barely any room.
We ordered our drinks, which the waitress seemed to be struggling with. They arrived relatively quickly, but not too fast or too slow. When we received our silverware, it was extremely dirty, with food crumbs and smudges.
It took us 50 minutes to get our food, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I could understand if they were busy, but they weren’t. We were the only ones within this establishment.
My grandmother’s steak was decent, but the potatoes were chunky. The green beans were absolutely horrible! They tasted like rocks or wood and were so hard to bite into. My grandpa’s burger and fries were okay, nothing special. My chicken tenders and fries were terrible. The chicken tenders were greasy and salty, and I could barely eat them without wanting to spit them out. I ate two chicken tenders and a couple of fries, and now my stomach is in agonizing pain.
My mother’s steak didn’t even look like a steak. It was so small that the first time she saw it, she thought it was a brownie. The steak was incredibly gummy and not even medium rare. The top was burnt with grease, making it utterly disgusting. Even after they re-made the steak, the chef still couldn’t manage to cook it medium rare. It’s clear that the chef has no knowledge of steak cooking. We even asked if the chef was new, but the server replied that he had been there for a long time, which shocked us because if he’s been there for so long, how could he not know how to cook a steak? This is a steakhouse, for crying out loud! The chef needs to be fired immediately, and Outback needs to investigate this location.
One of the staff members kept pacing around, clearly bored and eager to leave. I couldn’t help but overhear him repeatedly saying, “Can we close already?” when it was only 3:30 p.m. This goes to show that no one working there wanted to be there. I completely understand all the one-star reviews. This place needs to be shut down immediately! Outback is and always will be my last choice for a restaurant. Shame on you all!
The lady with the pink hair was on her phone the entire time we were there and kept rolling her eyes when we asked for a sauce. It’s not our fault that you don’t provide it! Now, I’m in agony in my stomach in bed and had to cancel my weekend plans because of your chef, who clearly has no idea how to cook steaks or any food in general. I’m not sure how he’s even a chef here. Thank you, Outback, for ruining my weekend and giving my family a trashy anniversary! I will never be back.

It was our first time going to this location as it is in an unusual area where you would have to go round and about to arrive at this restaurant. But as usual, the food was awesome starting with the warm bread then the Blooming Onion as a starter. Our service was excellent as the waitress was wonderful in assisting with our meal and even giving some recommendations. So if U am in the area again, I will remember to come back to this Outback!

My family and I stopped by for dinner after a long day out. There was only a 15-20 minute wait which was not bad for a Saturday night. The service was excellent. We did had 2 small mistakes in our order but they were corrected very quickly. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted very good. We also shared the thunder down under dessert which we all loved very much. All the servers and managers here were very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant overall looked clean and everything well organized. The restrooms were clean as well.

I don’t go to chain restaurants, but this restaurant was the best option in the locations. When we entered the restaurant; the hostess smile and greeted us. One of the host showed us to our table. The waitress was professional and respectful. I don’t eat steak, but there are some options for people who eat fish. I had a Cro-tail green drink with edible glitter. It had a cute crocodile on top of the glass. Of course I took it home . I give this restaurant a thumbs up

Came in for a late dinner. This place is always welcoming. Our waitress was Denise. She was very attentive and joyful. She made sure that she got our order right and suggested ways to ensure that my preferences were met most adequately when it came to placing my order. The dining area was clean and well kept. We were seated very quickly, and our orders did not take long to be served.
Overall this place has a great atmosphere, is very family friendly, and the staff is very kind and accommodating. I would recommend this restaurant over the others in the area. The menu is also very well rounded.

My wife and I were greeted and seated at our desired spot. The restaurant is big, the bar was up & about, however, the restaurant was pretty empty. The waitress was very cordial and was patient with us. The order was taken and brought to us promptly. My T-Bone steak was done to the desired temp, however the fat could have been rendered better. Mac & cheese was on spot and complemented the steak well & from my experience what I can say is at least they make their own M&C and is delicious. The fillet mignon was a bit chewy, but delicious. From what I experienced in the past and the other franchisees is that this one is better than most.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant, and it was hands down the worst meal we’ve ever had. My burger was served with what can only be described as rotten cheddar cheese that didn’t melt properly and you couldn’t even cut it. It was like a hard piece of plastic. The fries were also cold and definitely not fresh.
We also ordered two Blooming Fried Chicken dishes, and I honestly have no words for how bad they were. The chicken tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in weeks and to make matters worse, the mashed potatoes were hard, cold, crumbled like a cookie, and tasted like they were weeks old.
It felt like we were served food with no regard for quality or freshness. Not going back.
