As a fellow Caribbean, this spot is AMAZING!!! I tried brown stew chicken for the first time ever, and it was so flavorful. The chicken was cooked to perfection as you can see. The rice and peas and plantains are also so delicious. I also HAD to get the mild beef patty and cocoa bread, the bread is so soft and was absolutely delicious. Everything was so flavorful and very well seasoned. I’ll definitely be back to try a different dish next time and hope the mac and cheese is in stock too!

Tasted the brown stew chicken for the very first time, and it was absolutely packed with flavor. I’m already looking forward to returning and exploring more dishes on the menu!

I found out about this place today and ordered IMMEDIATELY! The menu had a variety of options. I love the Mix & Match option because I’m a big back and need to get a taste of everything. I had the Brown Stew Chicken and Oxtail combo with rice and peas and cabbage. Coco Bread and Beef Patty. The Coco Bread was so warm and soft it was AMAZING. I haven’t had this good of Jamaican food in this area ever. This is my new spot. I have already told so many people about this place. I wish nothing but success for this business.

The food was fantastic! The restaurant operates as a pickup-only location, so I recommend calling ahead. Just a heads-up—you’ll need to wait for someone to let you in. That said, it was totally worth it. One of the best beef patties I’ve ever had, and the oxtails were absolutely perfect!

My coworker and I had a taste a for Jamaican food and we found this spot on google. After trying the food, let me say this is probably the BEST Jamaican food I’ve ever had in the state of Virginia and probably the whole DMV area. From the rice and peas, cabbage, oxtails, jerk chicken and Plantains! All were FIRE! I usually throw my plantains away because I’m not a big fan of them, but these had to try just off the presentation. Food so good that it was only right that I leave a review. I will definitely be back during my lunch breaks!!

I came home from work and noticed a takeout box in the fridge. I asked my husband , “So you got Jamaican today ?!” And he said “don’t eat my food.” I didn’t know he was on his way home with my own order which means he went out twice to this place today. The jerk chicken was spicy! Exactly how it should be. Can’t wait to try more of the food! Oxtail, I’m coming for you next.

I was craving Jamaican food when I came across this place on google. So happy to find amazing authentic Jamaican food in the area. Being from NYC, I didn’t want to set my expectations too high but WOW I am truly impressed! The oxtail was perfectly tender and the beefy patties were also just right. (The beef patties didn’t even make it to the house because it smelled so good in the car Lol) Thank you

Oh my goodness!!! I was looking for some island flavor and typed in my gps for the nearest restaurant for some Caribbean food and I am so glad that my GPS led me to peppers and onions! I had the honor meeting the owner while waiting for my order to be handed to me. I could not wait to open my order! The food portions are generous and it was DELICIOUS. I had to stop myself from biting my fingers off as the oxtail sauce dripped on my fingers. I am visiting but hope to be in the area frequently. This certainly will be on my go to list for restaurants. I also would love to have them cater an event or just a celebration of today! We don’t need a reason to celebrate right? Good food is reason to celebrate. It is a MUST to order. It is so good, I am planning to go back tomorrow to order another plate prior to my flight. I love supporting small businesses! A+ for the delicious food! Also, you can order online and pick up your food.

In the DMV, good Caribbean food is hard to find. At Afro fest I tried this place and WoW! Authentic jerk! I loved the spicy cabbage.
