Upbeat restaurant with plank walls & maritime decor, plus casual Florida-style seafood & a bar.

Super quick and friendly service. I never got to meet Mr.Bigfish, but he’s got some great food. Lobster bisque was decent – could use a little more spice, but good. The angry lobster pasta was amazing – absolutely recommend it. For the price, it was awesome. Definitely recommend Mr.Bigfish!

Mr. Big Fish was the choice made by some friends, it had very good service and a nice menu selection. Only complaints are that it is overcrowded – it was 5:30 on a Monday, and overpriced for the seating arrangement – we all felt rushed and not as relaxed as we should have been for that price. Nothing wrong with the Angry Lobster Pasta, it was delicious, as well as the Scallops were delicious too, but they were overpriced. Our friends had Ĺump Crab Cakes and Swordfish, which they said were their favorites. The Caesar Salad that came with some of the meals was one if the wimpiest I have seen or had for this class of restaurant. But the sides of both the Potatoes Gu Gratin and Onion Rings were delicious.

We had reservations for a party of 4 and were seated right on time. Our server was very attentive and allowed us to take our time. We all started with salad which is included and all were fresh ingredients. We had scampi with pasta, red grouper, black grouper, and angry lobster pasta in a slightly spicy sauce. We all raved how tasty our meals were, and one even commented that the spinach was the best she ever had. Prices were reasonable. It’s an upbeat atmosphere and provides a very enjoyable meal and evening.

We went for the happy hour oyster special and they were nice and fresh, although mixed in size. The staff were friendly and accommodating giving us the choice to sit for 45 mins at a reserved bar top table rather than wait for seats at the bar. It was fine for us so we said yes! It was 3 pm and the bar was full and when we left at 4, the bar dining area was also full. Nice spot. We’d go back for sure.

By far the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant. Jamie was such a people person and truly made our dinner that much better. Great food and an amazing waitress!

Seven of us had a reservation at 5:30, seated at 5:50. The restaurant was packed and it was cold with nobody wanting to eat outside. Our server, Crissie honored happy house drinks because it took about 15 minutes for her to get to us. We had fresh warm bread while we waited. We had super quick service after ordering. We had shrimp cocktail, salads, yellowtail snapper, hog fish, stuffed shrimp and grouper and sides. Everything came quickly and was hot. Service was excellent considering the restaurant was packed on a cooler Thursday evening. Bill for five with drinks was $239. Excellent meal and service.

Wife and I hit happy hour, sat at the bar. Service was fine, we ordered four happy hour specials. The fried fish, tuna ceviche and onion rings were good. The “lightly fried” diver scallops, however, were raw. Had to send them back.
We ordered three drinks along with the food. Was $70 and we were there less than an hour.

We love Mr. Big Fish! The food is excellent and the waiter we had tonight was very good. Having said that, tonight we had a 6:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until 7:30 only after I went back to the hostess stand to check in. The hostess was quite dismissive and had no compassion about us waiting for over one hour past our reservation time. When the reservation was made, was we asked what was the best time to come in and they said 6:30. So we went with that. My recommendation is to arrive early your reservation and expect to wait. Managing the flow of tables and reservations is key to a good dining experience. Mr. Big Fish needs help in this arena.

First time here as a result of hearing others give such great reviews. We went early for dinner on a Monday night. (5:30). The restaurant was very clean which is always important to me. The lighting was perfect (dark enough for nice ambiance but not too dark where you can’t see). The menu was short and to the point which I love. To me, that means they know what they are good at and they stick with it. We started with oysters Rockefeller which were simply and perfectly prepared. I ordered the parm trout per the servers suggestion and my son ordered linguine and clams. The trout was perfectly grilled and the parm topping was seasoned well. I’m really glad the au gratin potatoes came as a small side because I would’ve eaten a gallon of those which wouldn’t be good. The side of spinach was delicious. The best part for me was that the food was served super hot. That tells me all I need to know about the back of the house and the operations. We are excited to come back!
