Just had brunch there with the family. Super family friendly and the food was so good. My fiancée and I had the Dutch baby pancake and breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing. If you like thick cut bacon, this is the place. Service was great and server was super attentive. Highly recommend!!

I’ve heard lots of great things about the Markum Inn so, we had to give it a shot. It lived up to the hype… mostly. The food was great and our double duty hostess/waitress was the best. She checked on us regularly and made our interaction personable. The Markum burger was good, however the meat to bun raito was a bit off. Their burger is a great quality meat and I think just upsizing the patty a bit more would elevate it into another level. For $8 I could have added a second patty and next time maybe I will( just to see if I’m right ). The fries were great just a bit too salty for my taste. The desert was super legit!! We got the Markum mud pie( I think) and holy smokes it was good. Overall the Markum Inn is great place for a nice, chill night out. It’s warm and rustic atmosphere is welcoming and reminded me of a good ole fashioned home. We’ll definitely visit again!

I was really hungry and chomping at the bit for a good steak when I arrived here. I have known about this out of the way restaurant for awhile but have not stopped until now. I it is modestly decorated inside. Standard dining booths and tables. The bar is at the front of the dining room next to the kitchen. There is one corner dedicated to a few gaming machines and it’s behind a curtain. The floors are a polished concrete and the dining room is very large with massive open wood beams. There is also outdoor dining. The staff were all awesome . I was quickly served and informed of the option of Prime Rib in two serving sizes. The menu gave me several different choices but ultimately I was here for an open flame cooked steak. So I decided upon the Rib Eye along with a Rice Pilaf instead of Potato and grilled mushrooms and onions. I also asked for some steak sauce. After a few short minutes my medium done steak was served. A sizzling platter was presented and everything appeared delicious. On a side note. The open pits the steaks are cooked on are near the front and the smell lightly goes through the dining room smelling wonderful. So my meal tasted great the pilaf had a good strong flavor with it and was served hot. The mushroom and onions were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Its flavor was excellent and I didn’t need to add any steak sauce. The only thing holding me back from giving this steak a 5 star rating was that it was too chewy. I was expecting a melt in your mouth Ribeye tendernesses as I have had in the past. This particular steak was tougher and on par to your average Sirloin steak which they do have on the menu. Otherwise I was very pleased with it. So maybe next time I will try the Sirloin just to compare. It may be just as tasty for less money because the steak pricing is expensive. I did ask if there happened to be a Senior menu. The server stated that there had been with previous owners but that the menu had been changed and simplified. He did however provide me with a nice Sr. Discount off the total amount of the bill. Despite my problem with the Ribeye Steak I was completely satisfied with experience.

Markum Inn was wonderful! We got a gift card for my husband’s birthday and decided to go out and have dinner on a beautiful Sunday afternoon 2pm. This was a new place for us as well. I Googled it so I’d have an idea of what they served. Honestly the pictures and the menu looked ok. The pictures DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE! It’s was a gorgeous interior and a nice patio area too. A step up compared to other locally owned restaurants in the area. We were sat quickly as it wasn’t busy and sat in the patio area. Friendly service and a great menu! I started off with a Blueberry Lemon Drop. Yummy!! We ordered the tuna appetizer it also was yummy and came with a fabulous relish with a sauce. Actually I was a bit surprised by this not a usual item at a local place. We ordered the Prime Rib which came with salad, potato and fresh veggies. My ceasar salad was excellent and my husband’s garden salad was full of goodies. Our prime rib came out to perfection. Excellent quality and large portions. Pricing was extremely reasonable. The brownie dessert was WOW! The whole experience was great! We truly enjoyed this establishment and I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! My only complaint was our food came out way to fast. We were still eating our appetizer when our salads came out, no biggie but, within 5 minutes our entrees came out. So our veggies and meat were a bit cool but the potato was hot! But it was still a very good meal. So I give them 4.5 stars and we will go back again!! Thank you for making my husband’s birthday dinner special.
