The atmosphere is effortlessly charming—perfect for date night, family dinners, or “just because” meals that turn into unforgettable evenings.

The food? Out of this world. Every dish tastes like it was made with love, tradition, and the freshest ingredients imaginable. The pasta is cooked to absolute perfection, the sauces are rich, and every bite makes you pause just to appreciate how good it is. The pizza was flavorful without being heavy!
The Bruschetta and Burrata both had very interesting and distinct flavors, from what you’d usually eat.

And don’t even get me started on the service—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. They make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

Finish with dessert (trust me, don’t skip it), and you’ll already be planning your return before you leave. Truly, it’s an experience. If you love Italian food done right, this spot is a must-visit

Pictured: Burrata, Bruschetta, Fettucine Alfredo cooked on the cheese wheel, Pizzas, Gnocchi (our absolute favorite), Strawberry Sundae, Cannoli

Also, I didn’t get any pictures because I was so enchanted by the market. The Eataly plaza feels like a little market in Italy filled with fresh authentic goodness for you to make your favorite Italian food at home!
We bought some bagged pasta, pasta sauces, seasoning, breads and pizza making kits.
100000/10 recommend going to Eataly for all the best stuff

We came for lunch on a busy Monday morning without a reservation. However, our family of four was seated in about five minutes.

The atmosphere was busy with every table filled and waitstaff hurrying around. It was moderately loud, but we could speak to eachother without raising our voices. Our waiter arrived at about ten minutes after us being seated. He seemed in a hurry, but was nonetheless polite while taking our order.

Our food was delicious and I highly recommend them all. It came out after maybe fifteen minutes. Our waiter was even more polite at that moment. As you can see in my pictures, we ordered:

– La Finocchiona – pizza with perfectly, *thinly* sliced salami, sauteed mushrooms, smoked mozzarella, truffle cheese, olive oil. The crust was soft, light, a little chewy and delicious.

– Lasagna ai Funghi – housemade lasagna noodles, mushroom ragu, housemade bechamel, grana padano fonduta, crispy artichokes.

– Heart-shaped Kids’ Menu Pizza – with tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil, prosciutto cotto

– Spaghetti & Meatballs. These were two separate dishes.

– Drinks: Aperol Spritz and a Mole Cola (like Coca-Cola, but less sweet).

It was an amazing lunch and we were all happy. Drop by Eataly while in the Flatiron district and have a great Italian meal at La Pizza & La Pasta.

We had a nice experience overall, mainly thanks to the warm reception and friendly service. The staff was welcoming from the moment we arrived and made a genuine effort to accommodate us, even though we were a walk-in (we were celebrating a friend’s birthday).

Out of several Italian options in the area, my friend chose this place because it looks like a “real” restaurant—more structured and thoughtfully designed, rather than a casual pavilion-style spot. The menu is definitely promising, and I appreciated that their pastas are homemade, which is always a great sign.

That said, I do think there are a few areas where the restaurant could improve. The plates are extremely large, but the pasta portion itself feels small in proportion to the size of the dish. Flavor-wise, the pasta was fine, but nothing particularly exceptional—it felt average compared to other places I’ve tried.

One of the biggest disappointments was the truffle. Since truffle is an add-on and comes at an extra cost, you expect it to be noticeable, but the amount served was minimal and the flavor didn’t come through. On the bright side, they were very generous when adding extra cheese, which I truly appreciated.

The cocktails were very good, the wine was good as well, and service remained attentive throughout the night. However, the pizza (we ordered a classic Margherita) was quite simple and not very well executed—the crust didn’t hold up and the slice would slide off the base, and overall it didn’t stand out compared to other places with more authentic flavor at a better price.

Lastly, while I understand pricing can reflect location, the menu felt noticeably overpriced for what you receive, which unfortunately gives it a bit of a “tourist trap” vibe. Also, the tables are placed extremely close together, making it hard to have a private conversation—at times it felt like we were part of the table next to us.

Overall, it’s a beautiful space with great service and potential, but I think improving portion balance, flavor execution (especially for premium add-ons like truffle), and spacing would elevate the experience significantly.

Not worth coming to as a vegetarian. Only one pasta on the menu is vegetarian and it’s the simple spaghetti pomodoro which they charge an arm and a leg for. I got the Ribollita soup which was vegan and it was good but tasted like something I could’ve made at home and again not worth the steep price. On top of that, service was incredibly slow here.

Restaurant Review: La Pizza & La Pizza

La Pizza & La Pizza was the perfect spot for our family celebration! We dined here to honor my niece’s incredible achievement—finishing her first semester of college with an impressive 3.8 GPA. From the exceptional service to the incredible food, this experience was top-notch.

Our waiter, Raphael, deserves special recognition. He was not only personable and attentive but also went out of his way to ensure my sister’s tree nut allergy was addressed with care. His attention to detail and genuine warmth made us feel truly valued. One highlight was when Raphael even fetched a Collins ice cube from another restaurant just to elevate my drink—now that’s service!

The food was spectacular. The Italian-style pizza brought classic New York flavors to the table with its perfect crust and authentic taste. I thoroughly enjoyed my lasagna and calamari, while my niece loved her broccoli tagliatelle, and my sister raved about the tagliatelle Bolognese. Each dish was prepared with precision and quality ingredients, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to great food.

The atmosphere was another win. The open and inviting space made it ideal for both intimate family celebrations and larger social gatherings. While my photos don’t fully capture how incredible the food was, trust me—it’s worth every bite!

Raphael’s outstanding service, combined with the delicious food and welcoming ambiance, has secured La Pizza & La Pizza as a must-visit. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an amazing Italian meal, I highly recommend it.

I have been here numerous times and it gets better and better. RIght off the bat, Jay seats me at a nice table and Mahmoud the bus staff came over and welcomed me back! I have no idea how he remembered me but he did. The nice wait servicer asked if anyone took my order and I said not yet so he said he will.. great experience already. During my meal, Mahmoud kept on coming to see if I needed anything and really making sure I was well taken care off. He didnt have too but he took an initiative to do so. I had a great spaghetti pomodoro, caesar salad and bread. Thoughout my meal, Mahmoud kept on making sure I was good like clearing my empty plate and bringing me salt and pepper. He also asked if I needed grated cheese on my spaghetti. WOW! Talk about service.. Throughout my meal, other wait server and other bus staff kept checking in if I needed anything else. My wait server shift was over and he told me his associate will take care of me. Since I was alone, I was observing the restaurant and was really impressed. I see, Carlos, the manager putting new silverware and plates on tables and moving chairs around the restaurant. Carlos is a hand on type of a manager. The best kind in my option. After the email, I thanked Carlos and told him I enjoyed my meal and compliments him on how well his staff was. He absolutely ran a tight ship. Best experience was for sure, Mahmoud the bus staff. He absolutely, hand down, made my experience one of the best at La Pizza La Pasta. Mahmoud should be considered to be a wait staff intead of a bus staff. It is people like him that will keep customers coming to any restaurant. I tip my hat to Mahmoud, Carlos and everyone else! I even went to Eataly in Vegas too.. I feel NY is the flagship store. Thank you Flatiron La Pizza La Pasta! I will be back because of the service I received and meal was absolutely out of this world!

I’m not sure whether it was an issue with Etaly itself or just this particular restaurant, but the front desk girl named Maria told me and my other Asian friend to go eat at two other pasta stations instead of dining at their restaurant. She told us we’d have to wait 15 minutes. However, after about five minutes, we came back and saw that two people—two white individuals who hadn’t made a reservation—just looked at the menu behind us and were immediately seated.

What’s more, Maria’s attitude was awful. She insisted we wait 15 minutes, and when we asked again, she claimed those two people had a reservation—which clearly they didn’t. So I’d like to write a negative review.

Basic Italian (Roman) classic pizzas and pastas. Usually long waits, even with a reservation we waited 20 minutes to get seated. Having eaten a lot of Italian restaurants in Manhattan and in Italy, this place not really worth it. For the price you could get something better/more authentic. Pasta portion was generous though and the vibes were great. We love Eataly as a grocery store but the food doesn’t quite deliver here. Just okay.
